Expectations can be a funny thing when it comes to movies. Go into a theater with absolutely no inhibitions about what you’re about to witness and you’re likely to have a far better time than if you were watching a sequel you’ve built up expectations for in your mind. Remakes? Forget it. One would wager that the likelihood of you enjoying a remake of a film that you already enjoyed in its original packaging is a considerable amount lower than had you never seen the original. For obvious reasons. This brings me to today’s topic: a 1993 American remake of the French-Dutch film Spoorlos that was attacked by many for being...

Gore. The gore the merrier or so it seemed during the 70s and 80s. And throughout many a decade gorehounds love all the red splatter a screen can handle. And one of the best to give the gore all the more is Tom Savini. A master of splatter, an icon of special effects, and a director and actor too, Savini has been the inspiration for more filmmakers and effects artists than I can count and continues to do so. He’s also never stopped making monsters and mayhem either. Tom Savini is one of modern horrors legends and I think it’s...

Hannibal Lecter… a name that has been cemented forever in the hearts of horror fans alike. We’ve seen him in some truly gruesome, yet unforgettable films. The most well known is The Silence of the Lambs, which was followed up in 2001 with the mostly disliked, self-titled Hannibal. But the very next year, in 2002, we were treated to somewhat of a redemption story of Hannibal Lecter in the form of Red Dragon (watch it Here). Did you know though, that this wasn’t the first time Red Dragon was made? Did you also know that none other than Brett Ratner, of then Rush Hour fame, directed this psychological thriller? Let’s look back,...

It’s always fun to see some of our horror heroes appear outside of their given role as it were. We’ve seen Stephen King appear in tons of his story’s adaptations, but he also showed up in things not associated with him like Sons of Anarchy. Sure, you get athletes that try acting, some that are even successful, but how about our beloved horror hosts? Many of them only stayed on the critique end of the movie spectrum but a couple have made the jump. Joe Bob Briggs appeared in a segment of the recent Scare Package as well as a deleted scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 but never got the spotlight in his own feature length film.

Fans looking to save money on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception by buying a used copy are out of luck. IGN is reporting that Sony has confirmed that Uncharted 3 will require a Psn Pass for online play.
The news was confirmed by Sony España Software Manager Juan Jiménez, who revealed that a code will have to be input to utilize the games online features. Gamers that buy a used copy of the game will need to purchase a code for $10 from the PlayStation Store before they can play online. Resistance 3 was the first game that utilized the The Psn Pass program, after it had been introduced earlier this year.
There is no need to wait until November 1st to play the Uncharted 3's multiplayer version. Customers who make promotional purchases at Subway are already playing online. I cannot wait to play this game in its entirety. I really wonder - how...
