Fans of ‘Yellowstone’ will officially be saying their goodbyes to the show with the second part of season 5. While there were reports a season 6 was being discussed, the talks seem to have been dropped in favor of the modern-day spinoff ‘The Madison.’
Before ‘The Madison,’ reports had stated that series creator Taylor Sheridan was working on a new script, which will be led by Matthew McConaughey. Sadly, this seems not to be the case anymore and I’m yet to fully come to terms with that.
Happily, we’ve been promised a lot of great things when it comes to ‘The Madison,’ so much so we can’t help but wait patiently for it to drop.

2014’s Pride, from director Matthew Warchus, is heading back into cinemas in the UK this June: more details here.
Comfortably one of the best British films of the 2010s is the wonderful Pride, an uproariously funny and really moving ensemble film set in the 1980s. Led by George MacKay, Andrew Scott, Ben Schnetzer, Faye Marsay, Dominic West, Imelda Staunton, a sex toy, Paddy Considine, Bill Nighy and Freddie Fox, it felt like a movie out of nowhere when it first arrived.
Telling the story of the miner’s strike in the UK in the 1980s, and the efforts of a bunch of lesbian and gay activists to support them, it still remains something of a one-off. Penned by Stephen Beresford and directed by Matthew Warchus, the modestly-budgeted film hardly set the box office alight on its initial release, but it’s earned a rich and deserved reputation since for a film that’s well,...

In Netflix’s sprawling sci-fi epic 3 Body Problems, Mike Evans seems to be a man with noble intentions. One day he’s trying to save an endangered species of bird, and the other day he’s trying to save all of humankind. Except for the second one, he didn’t hesitate to co-found a cult in cahoots with an alien race, who clearly doesn’t have a good intention for humanity. Evans, along with his beloved Wenjie Ye, turns out to be the primary reason for the entire mess that causes all the problems in the show. The man’s not inherently evil, though, as he takes his last breath with the belief that what he’s doing has to be for the greater good. In this article, we’re going to take a closer look at the character and the motives behind his activities in the show.

The creators of Game of Thrones are adapting another epic novel series, and they’re bringing along a few familiar faces. The new 3 Body Problem sci-fi series from David Benioff, D.B. Weiss and Alexander Woo (True Blood) just added four new cast members: Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes), Rosalind Chao (The Laundromat), Ben Schnetzer (Y: The Last Man) and Eve Ridley (Peppa Pig). You’ll have to stay tuned to find out which role each actor is playing.
3 Body Problem is based on the epic Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy by Cixin Liu, which follows a futuristic Earth on the verge of war with a neighboring galaxy. What happens when we discover we’re no longer alone in the universe? We’re about to find out. Benioff and Weiss are a fitting team to adapt the novel — Game of Thrones author George R.R.

Netflix is giving us a sneak peek at its new sci-fi series “3 Body Problem,” from “Game of Thrones” showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
In a new clip released Friday, “Game of Thrones” actor John Bradley is transported to a dystopian world after putting on a distinctly nonelectronic metallic helmet.
“There’s no screen — there’s no headphone jack, there’s not even a f–king charging port,” Bradley says in the clip. “Usually there’d be logos all over it if it was a Sony or an Oculus, or whatnot — it’s probably a beta tester.”
“No, this is not beta anything,” Jess Hong, who also stars in the series, tells Bradley’s character. “You don’t understand — this was indistinguishable from anything from reality.
After confirming that there is no password needed to log in the system, Bradley’s character puts on the headpiece, and is immediately...

It's been a long road to the screen for Netflix's 3 Body Problem.
First announced to be in the works in September 2020, we've been awaiting updates on the project for several years.
Thankfully, Netflix went public with a teaser, plot details, and a premiere window during Saturday's Tudum Global Fan Event.
Firstly, we'll begin with the premiere month: January 2024.
It's unclear whether the show was in contention for this year and was delayed as the streaming service tries to space out its content offerings a bit in response to the WGA Strike.
The streaming service hasn't been affected much by the strike to date, but TV shows made in the U.S. will probably be ground to a halt in the coming months.

“3 Body Problem,” a new Netflix sci-fi series from “Game of Thrones” showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, finally has a first teaser as Netflix announced on Saturday that the show will premiere in January 2024.

Netflix has added to the cast of its upcoming sci-fi epic 3 Body Problem.
The drama series adapted from Liu Cixin’s Hugo Award-winning trilogy has added four more actors to its sprawling cast, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Jonathan Pryce (The Crown), Rosalind Chao (Better Things), Ben Schnetzer (Y: The Last Man) and Eve Ridley (Peppa Pig) have joined the show.
The Tony Award-winning Pryce has appeared in Brazil, Glengarry Glen Ross, Evita and the Pirates of the Caribbean series. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to drama in 2021. Chao is another fan-friendly name with credits such as Disney’s live-action Mulan, Star Trek: The Next Generation and The Joy Luck Club. While Schnetzer is coming off his starring role another apocalyptic sci-fi drama, FX’s Y: The Last Man, 10-year-old Ridley is a newcomer to the industry.

John Landgraf, the chairman of FX, says he canceled “Y: The Last Man” after just one season because “its audience decline was really, really, really steep.”
“One of the key things we assess — and we have assessed for as long as we’ve been doing this — is the trajectory of a television show across a season from its first to its last episode,” Landgraf said of the one-and-done FX on Hulu series.
“I really loved ‘Y: The Last Man’ personally…but I will tell you that its audience decline was really, really, really steep,” he added. “And ultimately that’s what made us go that direction.”
TheWrap reached out to FX to request a look at those audience declines, but we did not immediately hear back. The show only streamed on Hulu, which makes viewership numbers harder to come by.

After a long journey to the screen that included showrunner and casting changes and a pandemic-related delay, FX’s Y: The Last Man only lasted one season. It was canceled while Season 1 was still airing, a couple of weeks before the Nov. 1 finale on Hulu.
The decision came down to viewership retention for the comic book adaptation from writer, executive producer and showrunner Eliza Cohen, FX Chairman John Landgraf said during the network’s portion of TCA.
“I really loved Y: Last Man personally, I really admired all the work that went into it, I really think Eliza Clark did a great job,” Landgraf said. “But I will tell you, its audience decline was really, really, really steep and ultimately that is what made us go in that direction.”

The book is closing on Y: The Last Man for good.
Executive producer Eliza Clark took to social media recently to reveal that hopes of a pickup at a new outlet had been dashed.
“We tried really hard to get another platform to pick up Season 2 of Y. But sadly, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen,” she wrote.
“It is always incredibly difficult to move a show, and in recent years, it has only gotten harder.
"So many of you have been so supportive of the show, and I am so grateful to you,” she continued.
“I love the group of artists who made Y truly, madly, deeply. It was the best creative work environment I’ve ever been a part of."
"I am immensely proud of the work that we did… I hope you will still watch the show. That you’ll still tell your friends to watch it.

For fans of Y: The Last Man, it’s truly the end of their world. Showrunner/EP Eliza Clark has posted that the dystopian drama hasn’t been able to find new distribution.
“For those of you who have been asking me: we tried really hard to get another platform to pick up season 2 of Y,” Clark wrote on Twitter. “But sadly, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. It is always incredibly difficult to move a show, and in recent years, it has only gotten harder.”
Y: The Last Man is a post-apocalyptic drama developed by Clark based on the comic book series of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. In the series, a cataclysmic event decimates everyone but one cisgender male, Yorick Brown (Ben Schnetzer), and his pet monkey. The series follows the survivors in this new world as they struggle...
