Deadline reports that principal photography has kicked off on Levon’s Trade, an action thriller starring Jason Statham. The project has also added a few new members to the cast, with David Harbour (Stranger Things), Michael Peña (Narcos: Mexico), Jason Flemyng (Boiling Point) and Arianna Rivas (The Harvest) signing on to appear in Levon’s Trade.
David Ayer is directing Levon’s Trade from a screenplay by none other than Sylvester Stallone, with revisions by Ayer. The project is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Chuck Dixon. The book is the first installment of the Levon Cade series, which consists of eleven novels. With so much material, this could easily be another franchise starter for Statham.

“The one thing about this show is there is no egos,” admits Maximilian Osinski about his guest turn on the third season of “Ted Lasso.” For our recent webchat he continues, “Every day and every moment on set, everybody is working hard as if it’s the first day of the pilot.” Watch the exclusive video interview above.
The show tells the story of optimistic American Ted (Jason Sudeikis), coaching a struggling soccer team in the English Premiere League. The series has won the Emmy for Best Comedy Series for the past two seasons. Osinski plays Zava, a mid-season star recruit to the team. The actor says, “Guest starring roles on an established show like Ted Lasso, that has won all these awards, is one of the hardest jobs as an actor. Mj Delaney has been with “Ted Lasso” since the beginning and the Emmy winner can only describe the three-season journey so far as an “absolute pleasure.” “This show, in particular, is such a lovely bunch of people and we’ve all just been a happy family from the start,” Delaney tells Gold Derby at our Meet the Experts: Directors panel (watch the exclusive video interview above). “Being able to go three seasons with them, it was so good from the get-go in terms of the dynamics behind the scenes that you just kind of build on that and get to know each other.”
And even three seasons in, there are still firsts for the Brit. Delaney has directed two episodes in each season so far, but unlike the first two installments, in which she helmed a block at the end of the season, she directed the first two episodes of...

This post contains spoilers for the season 3 finale of "Ted Lasso."
"Ted Lasso" was adept at delivering the thrills of a sports drama, with the fall and rise of an underground English football team, while also telling a beautiful story about community, mental health, self-improvement, and being open about emotions.
After three seasons, "Ted Lasso" is seemingly, apparently, as far as we know, done and over. After two very strong seasons, the final season was a very mixed bag, with a lack of focus thanks to longer episodes that dragged on, a sermon-of-the-week format that seemed to take away from the joy of earlier seasons, and a misguided football story that was too obsessed with winning — until it wasn't.
This is (kind of) a football show, of course, meaning the characters' careers and stories carry on after the end of the finale. We know Ted Lasso's career at AFC Richmond is over,...

Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from the Season 3 finale of Apple’s Ted Lasso.
The biggest question about the Season 3 finale of Apple TV+’s hit Ted Lasso is whether or not it would serve as the comedy’s series finale. Top to bottom, the episode titled “So Long, Farewell” feels like a series finale in how everything gets tied up but the show could certainly carry on as is—with or without Ted (Jason Sudeikis) who pulled the trigger on his move back to Kansas to be with his family.
From the moment the episode begins, Ted can’t help but smile while thinking he will be back home with his son Henry (Gus Turner). The pair exchange cute texts using funny gifs as they do.
Back in Rebecca’s (Hannah Waddingham) office, she is catching up with Keeley (Juno Temple) and Leslie (Jeremy Swift) about...

When fans learned that "Ted Lasso"'s third season - currently airing on Apple TV+ - would be its last, many were upset. They wanted more time with Ted (Jason Sudeikis), Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), Keeley (Juno Temple), Roy (Brett Goldstein), and co. But somehow, that desire seems to have been interpreted as more time in each individual episode. Episode 10, released on May 17, is an hour and four minutes long. It is the second episode of the series to go over an hour after episode six, "Sunflowers." In general, the episodes have been just below that hour-long mark. But season three's episodes are too long, and it's a big part of why it feels like "Ted Lasso" has lost its way in season three.

The “Ted Lasso” scene that challenged co-creator Brendan Hunt the most in terms of keeping a straight face was in Season 3’s Episode 7, “The Strings That Bind Us.”
Coach Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) tweaked a Japanese idea that Coach Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) explains to his players in which an invisible red string connects soulmates by their little fingers. Kent decides the players should practice with the string tied to their penises.
“Episode 6 is pretty, and somewhat serious,” Hunt told TheWrap at an Emmys FYC carpet in Hollywood Monday, video of which you can watch above. “So we were like, ‘Ok, Episode 7, we’re gonna get out of that.’ And that of course, in ways you can clearly see naturally and organically led to tying ropes to everyone’s dicks.”

This post contains spoilers for "Ted Lasso" season 3, episodes 5 and 7.
On "Ted Lasso," Jason Sudeikis' titular coach doesn't just inspire his team with down-home locker-room speeches. He's also been known to post the word "Believe" in all-caps on a yellow sign above his office. And woe betide the rogue kitman-turned-assistant-coach who would dare to tear up that sign on surveillance video.
For players of the fictional association football club, AFC Richmond, "believe" is a word that has become an ethos. In the past, Ted's team has tapped the sign for good luck the way someone might rub a statue, and they've also freaked out whenever the sign fell, as if it meant the universe was aligned against them.
When not tying private parts together, "Ted Lasso" season 3, episode 7, "The Strings That Bind Us," takes that one step further by having Ted briefly acknowledge a higher power, saying, "Sometimes you gotta...

Phil Dunster’s Jaime Tartt has finally reached a level of mutual respect with former captain and now coach Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), and their latest adventures in Amsterdam bring the two closer together.
In the sixth episode of the Apple TV+ comedy, AFC Richmond venture to Amsterdam for an exhibition match. Though they lose, Coach Ted (Jason Sudeikis) gives his team a curfew-free night post-match. Roy makes Jamie stick around for training, and Jaime points out all the sights in Amsterdam as they run through the city — including that famous bench shot in “The Fault in Our Stars.”
“Jason and Brendan and Joe Kelly, the creators all lived in Amsterdam for a while so they’re all obsessed with Amsterdam, particularly Brendan is obsessed with the history and architecture and culture there,” Dunster told TheWrap.

If Jason Sudeikis (“Ted Lasso”) ends up winning his third Best Comedy Actor Emmy in a row, as Gold Derby predicts, he would join a rare group of four men who claimed this category three times consecutively. To date, only Don Adams (“Get Smart”), Carroll O’Connor (“All in the Family”), Michael J. Fox (“Family Ties”) and Dick Van Dyke (“The Dick Van Dyke Show”) have pulled off the three-peat. Will Sudeikis now become the fifth?
Sudeikis has been at the top of Gold Derby’s predictions for Best Comedy Actor all season long. His closest competitor is Jeremy Allen White (“The Bear”), who dominated the winter awards season thanks in part to “Ted Lasso” not having any eligible episodes. Other likely nominees for the 2023 Emmys are Bill Hader (“Barry”), Steve Martin (“Only Murders in the Building”), Martin Short (“Only Murders in the Building”) and Jason Segel (“Shrinking”).

Spoiler Alert: The following story reveals major plot points from Ted Lasso’s latest episode “Sunflowers.”
AFC Richmond has been struggling plenty in Apple TV+ hit series Ted Lasso in Season 3, but things get a lot lighter in episode 6 titled “Sunflowers.” The team heads to Amsterdam for a break with Ted (Jason Sudeikis) declaring a mini-break for everyone following another loss.
If the writers had told fans in Season 1 that Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster) and Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) would eventually become friends, nobody would’ve believed it. But here they are, exploring Amsterdam on bikes searching for a windmill. Both men have grown and evolved and, thanks to Zava (Maximilian Osinski), are now buddies.
Dunster spoke to Deadline about working closely with Goldstein, enjoying Amsterdam for the first time and how the episode will change things moving forward.
Deadline: “Sunflowers” is quite a different episode from the others. What was it like to shoot?...

When James Lance read the name of his “Ted Lasso” character Trent Crimm, he did not think that was the name of a bully. But the “Independent” journalist’s behavior cast him as a shadow over the Apple TV+ series’ optimistic tone.
The actor took TheWrap behind the scenes of his performance of the journalist, who has traded in tabloids and deadlines for a more long-term project writing a book about AFC Richmond. Specifically, Lance traces the core of his character back to a conversation he had with creator Jason Sudeikis during Season 1.

This post contains spoilers for the fifth episode of "Ted Lasso" season 3.
The minute "For All Mankind" and "Bomb Girls" star Jodi Balfour appeared on screen in "Ted Lasso," I knew this show was heading somewhere fun. Actually, even before viewers saw financier Jack's face, soft sparks were already flying between her and Keeley (Juno Temple) when the pair shared an unorthodox, tampon-related meet-cute. A moment later, their face-to-face introduction featured approximately 500% more eager-but-shy smiles than any platonic work event ever should. Yeah, I thought, there's definitely something there.
Still, the fact that Keeley and Jack's shippy new dynamic gave way so quickly to a passionate hook-up is a surprise – if a welcome one. "Ted Lasso" has never explicitly stated that Keeley is into women, but it's no surprise given some of her flirty exchanges with Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) over the years, like when she gawks at her friend's nearly-leaked nudes.

[This story contains spoilers for “Signs,” the fifth episode of Ted Lasso’s third season.]
During a press day for Ted Lasso’s third season, The Hollywood Reporter asked co-creator, executive producer and actor Brendan Hunt about whether Richmond’s honeymoon period with superstar Zava (Maximilian Osinski) would wear off.
Hunt’s answer: “I mean, you’ve seen the show before. You know how it goes.”
In “Signs,” the show’s fifth episode of season three, it went. Or rather, he went: After firing up the team before a match with powerhouse Manchester City — by basically repeating the same idea Jamie (Phil Dunster) offered up moments before — Zava no-shows for the match. (“Maybe he’s dead,” Ted muses on the sideline. “He fucking better be,” Roy growls.) He later explains to his social media followers — ahem, “believers” — that he’s retiring to focus solely on his family and his avocado farm.

In episode 5 of "Ted Lasso" season 3, the Greyhounds are coming off of a brutal loss to West Ham that knocks them even further down the Premier League power rankings. Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), Richmond's owner and biggest champion, storms into Ted's office and yells, "Are we ever going to win another f***ing match?" Clearly, the team is spiraling and the pressure of joining the Premier League is mounting, causing a rift between Rebecca, the team, and the fans; a rift that's only growing larger week by week.
Of course, the entire Richmond community wants their team to win and Ted has an obligation to make sure they're the best they can be. But season 3 as a whole has become a little too concerned with what's happening on the field and in episode 5, "Signs," the obsession with winning becomes too much of a focus for a show that's always chosen...

Last week on “Ted Lasso,” the mighty UFC Richmond went down to West Ham United (1-4) in a fierce contest. And the scene is set for opposing coaches to go head-to-head at the 2023 Emmy Awards — albeit in a friendlier competition.
In the third season of the Apple TV+ comedy, AFC Richmond is still coached by the loveable Ted (Jason Sudeikis) with assistant coaches Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) and Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt). The team started as underdogs, but landing star recruit Zava (Maximilian Osinski) rockets the Greyhounds up the standings. Former Richmond assistant coach Nate (Nick Mohammad), meanwhile, has taken the reigns at West Ham, who have enjoyed a dominant season, with “The Wonder Kid” looking to put his old club in their place.
The first four episodes of the season culminated in a grudge match between the two clubs. After conceding two goals late in the first half, Richmond fell apart.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Ted Lasso Season 3, Episode 4, “Big Week.”] Since Ted Lasso debuted in 2020, Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster) has been one of the comedy’s most compelling characters, and Season 3 is proving the point as the cocky soccer player channels his emotions into pumping up his fellow teammates. But a recent turn of events is shifting Jamie’s focus from the team itself to his career as a footballer against new star player Zava (Maximilian Osinski). Eager to surpass the God-like figure, he decides to lean on former foe-turned-ally Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) for some additional training which involves early wakeups and intensive practice sessions in the park. Where the journey will take Jamie next alongside Roy and the rest of AFC Richmond will remain to be seen, but in the meantime, Dunster is offering some insight. Plus, he teases whether or not the show will address the Jamie-Roy-Keeley (Juno Temple) love triangle, and shares what ...

The beloved soccer broadcaster and journalist Grant Wahl, who died of an aortic aneurysm while reporting from the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last December, is remembered in more than one way during the third season of “Ted Lasso.” When speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer, co-creator, and co-star Brendan Hunt said that his character, Coach Beard, holding a copy of Wahl’s book “The Beckham Experiment” was planned as a hidden-in-plain-sight nod well before Wahl’s passing.
Now the fourth episode of the new season, which debuted on Apple TV+ on April 5, is dedicated to Wahl. It dovetails nicely with the plot, as it concerns James Lance’s reporter character writing a book about AFC Richmond, which recently added Maximilian Osinski’s star player. “When we knew we were going to have the storyline of Trent embedded with the team, we thought about reporters who’ve done that … Specifically,...

[This story contains spoilers for “Big Week,” episode four of Ted Lasso season three.]
The “Big Week” of the title in this episode of Ted Lasso is AFC Richmond’s first meeting with West Ham, now led by former Greyhounds assistant Nate (Nick Mohammed). It’s a grudge match that gets extra grudge-y, even as Nate is still stewing in some very complicated feelings toward his former boss, Ted (Jason Sudeikis).
Nate’s heel turn at the end of season two shocked a lot of Ted Lasso viewers, to the point that even Mohammed was a bit surprised by the reaction. “People were angry. They took it really personally,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I can only think it’s because season one Nate, that arc was [he was the] underdog hired by Ted, does good and gets promoted. It’s something we can all cling on to because we love those stories. They’re sort of sports movie tropes. Because we were rooting for Nate, it...

Change is afoot in “Ted Lasso” Season 3, but one plot point in the early episodes is enough to shock the characters into silent horror: Roy (Brett Goldstein) and Keeley (Juno Temple) have broken up.
The opposites-attract couple got together in Season 1, after Keeley broke up with AFC Richmond’s resident cocky pretty boy Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster) and found herself both attracted to and appreciated by the older team captain Roy. It’s a romance that viewers at the time didn’t necessarily see coming, but rooted for passionately once it became a possibility. Roy and Keeley dealt in honesty, maturity, and support. Roy was the antithesis of Jamie’s early-20s bravado, and with him Keeley relied on the keen emotional intelligence and bright ideas that Jamie overlooked in her. The couple didn’t let a few road bumps stop them from pursuing something special, because they recognized that...

"Ted Lasso," the Apple TV+ breakout comedy hit, is finally back for more kindness, more Roy Kent, and more football goodness. Even though the World Cup is over, the football fever never stops.
Indeed, season 3 sees AFC Richmond reach the big leagues and play in the Premier League, with the season finally having a good sense of direction. But kindness, shortbread, and a good attitude are not enough to make it in the big leagues against the big teams. You need something else. The answer, as the latest episode seems to indicate, is a football superstar with an ego to match — Zava. In episode two, the former Juventus player decides to join Richmond after getting his ego struck and being promised to be the team's biggest superstar.
Zava rules. He is instantly a standout character, a memorable player with incredible skills and a personality to match. Even if Jamie Tartt is hurt and jealous,...

Maximilian Osinski makes a big splash in season three of "Ted Lasso" as Zava, a soccer superstar with a big ego - but maybe a big heart to match. AFC Richmond brings him in to try to keep the team from getting relegated - and to one-up West Ham, owned by the villainous Rupert (Anthony Head) and coached by Nate (Nick Mohammed). But what fans might not know is that Osinski is married to an actor who's making splashes on an Apple TV+ series of her own: Dichen Lachman, who plays Ms. Casey on the hit series "Severance." On "Severance," Lachman's Ms. Casey is a mysterious employee at Lumon Industries who, fans learn in the season finale, is tied to a deep secret the company is keeping from Mark S (Adam Scott).
Osinski and Lachman married in 2015 and share a daughter born that same year. Both have been working actors for a long time.

This post contains spoilers for the latest episode of "Ted Lasso" season 3.
"Ted Lasso" has been having a bit of a rough time, and I don't just mean the usually-winsome soccer coach himself. The beloved Apple TV+ comedy has been having what can only be described as growing pains so far in its third season, which is a bit disconcerting considering it may be the show's last. So far, the new episodes have been overly-long and not especially funny, and have divided up the cast into somewhat isolated and depressing plotlines.
Of course, if it were a soccer game, "Ted Lasso" season 3 would only be in its first quarter; the season is set to have twelve episodes, and the show still has plenty of time to course-correct its uneven tone and rather muted comedy. While episode three, titled "4-5-1," didn't exactly squash all our worries about the show's conclusion,...

There’s a new star on the pitch. The third episode of Ted Lasso’s third season introduced a soccer player so famous he goes by a one-word moniker — Zava.
Played by Agents of Shield star Maximilian Osinski, Zava will have more screen time as the season unfolds, and the actor is still pinching himself. “I couldn’t believe it at first,” says Osinski, who is married to actress Dichen Lachman, featured on another Apple TV+ hit, Severance. “You watch a show for two years as a fan and never imagine that one day you’ll be in a scene standing opposite Jason Sudeikis.”
Co-creator Brendan Hunt, an executive producer who also plays Coach Beard, says Zava was inspired by some of the sport’s “more colorful divas” including “a lot” of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. “Zlatan is among the most unique of that breed of God-gifted lunatic.”
The Swedish superstar, who now plays for A.

Say what you will about season 2 of "Ted Lasso," but it was nice to have the whole cast and crew together in one place. For the most part, the characters were all a part of AFC Richmond; even if they didn't get along all the time, they still had to be in the same general area together. Ted (Jason Sudeikis) was forced to regularly interact with new team therapist Sharon (Sarah Niles), which led to him slowly but surely overcoming his prejudice against therapists and learning to open up to her. Jamie (Phil Dunster) was forced into the same locker room as the team he'd gotten regulated in the previous season's finale, leading to him learning to let go of his ego and become a real team player.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Ted Lasso,” Season 3, Episode 2, “(I Don’t Want to Go to) Chelsea”.]
In this week’s episode of “Ted Lasso,” (almost) everyone knows what Zava can do. He’s the kind of soccer star who can inspire gasps and giddy reactions to everyone from team executives to his fellow players.
“He merely is Zava. Much as the wind is to the cliff, he is Zava. He just has no regard for the small things that a coach may try to do. He has no disregard either. He’s a force of nature,” series cast member and writer Brendan Hunt told IndieWire.
So, to make that larger-than-life reputation feel real, actor Maximilian Osinski knew he had to make his introduction a mystery, even down to how he talks. Zava doesn’t speak much in his debut episode, and when he does, his voice is intentionally hard to pin down.

The second episode of Ted Lasso’s third season puts the title character on the sidelines for much of its running time, focusing instead on Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), Roy (Brett Goldstein) and a couple new additions to the AFC Richmond locker room.
One of those newcomers is someone the show has previously introduced: Trent Crimm (James Lance), no longer of The Independent. In the second-most-overblown scene from HBO’s oppressively/gloriously overblown dramedy The Newsroom, Will McAvoy refuses — because he’s a time-traveler from the future with 20/20 hindsight on all things — to go along with the prevailing media narrative in the aftermath of the 2011 shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. In the third season of Ted Lasso, Ted and his coaches discuss whether it’s a good idea for AFC Richmond to pursue Zava, a brilliant footballer who is also a ball-hogging diva. Adding Zava to the team would be a massive talent boost, but it would mean reconfiguring the entire offense around the new guy, sending one current starter to the reserves, changing everyone else’s role, and perhaps disrupting the harmonious locker room chemistry that has been Ted’s biggest achievement since arriving to coach in the Premier League.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond is having a thrilling second season.
The series has hit its groove with more complex storytelling that is helping to advance the world of the show.
TV Fanatic got the chance to chat with Maximilian Osinski, who plays Dennis.
Since his arrival, Dennis has been an enigmatic figure, but Sunday's new episode gave us our most significant insight into the character to date.
The actor was attracted to the series because of the franchise's lore that started with The Walking Dead.
He said he liked that the show was conceived with a two-season run in mind because it gives the writers and creators the space to tell these satisfying arcs.
"As an actor, that's kind of exciting," the star said, revealing that the final few seasons of his previous show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were not guaranteed, meaning that everyone was unsure whether the arcs would be fulfilled.

"The wolf pack's hunting us." Sony Pictures has revealed the first official trailer for a WWII naval action movie titled Greyhound, which is also the name of the ship that leads the way in this story (in case you're wondering why it's called Greyhound). Inspired by actual events, the screenplay is written by Tom Hanks, who also stars in this as Captain Ernest Krause. He leads an Allied convoy of 37 ships being stalked by Nazi U-boat wolf packs across the North Atlantic ocean towards the UK. The full cast includes Elisabeth Shue, Stephen Graham, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Maximilian Osinski, Lee Norris, Rob Morgan, Devin Druid, Michael Benz, and Matthew Zuk.
