The Chicago P.D. hiatus ended with a new episode on Wednesday night.
When we last saw the show, Dante Torres was finishing up an undercover case to bring down a drug boss, Rafel Perez (Julio Cedillo).
During that case, Torres became romantically involved with the wife of Rafel Perez, Gloria Perez (Yara Martinez).
In a dramatic conclusion, Gloria killed Rafel. Rather than run, she told Torres she was remaining in Chicago. It could mean the story circles back later.
Also, earlier this season, the Chicago P.D. cast added actress Bojana Novakovic as Detective Josephine Petrovic. The quirky detective helped Intelligence on several cases, but Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) became suspicious of her and discovered a drinking problem.
A serial killer also remained on the loose, but this new episode was focused on a separate case.

A pair of former production assistants-turned-assistant directors have created a nonprofit in hopes of providing financial aid to PAs who’ve been put out of work due to the strike.
Katie Hacker and Andrea Block argue that most PAs don’t qualify for most of the strike relief that’s available out there — not to mention how they are already the lowest paid crew members on TV and film projects. Once work resumes, the women argue, Pa paychecks will be much smaller than those of the rest of the crew — making it harder for them to recover from the strike.
That’s why Hacker and Block formed the Go for PAs Alliance in July.
“Our entire industry is in this together, and we feel strongly that the little guys should not be ignored in this conversation,” the women, both of whom went through the DGA training program, said in a statement.

Being at the bottom of the Hollywood ladder, production assistants are often overlooked and particularly vulnerable — especially in hard times like the current Writers Guild and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Several cast and production members at Chicago P.D. are stepping in to help the 13 set and office PAs on the popular NBC series, pitching in to give each of them $1,500. The money was distributed a week and a half ago, with a second payment on the way.

NBC’s Chicago P.D. Season 11 is hopefully coming soon, though the season’s experiencing severe delays due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. While writers and actors continue to strike for fair pay and better working conditions, fans wonder when new episodes of their favorite shows will premiere. So, when will Chicago P.D. Season 11 premiere? Here’s what we suspect.
When will ‘Chicago P.D.’ Season 11 premiere with the actors and writers strike?
Chicago P.D. Season 11 doesn’t have a confirmed premiere date just yet. Typically, the season premieres in the fall of 2023, along with NBC’s fall lineup.
