Scott Gold serves as Co-Executive Producer on NBC's LAW & ORDER. Previously, he served as Co-Executive Producer for five seasons on NBC's CHICAGO P.D. He also served as Supervising Producer on USA's long-running SHOOTER, wrote on National Geographic's award-winning, wartime limited series THE LONG ROAD HOME and was on the writing staff of CBS's adaptation of Stephen King's UNDER THE DOME. Gold came to Hollywood after a 22-year career as a news reporter, mainly with the Los Angeles Times, where he served as a national correspondent. Over the course of his journalism career, he covered a host of national news events, including the Bush-Gore election in 2000, the terrorist attacks of 2001, the destruction of the Space Shuttle Columbia in 2003, Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and NASA's mission to Mars in 2012. In 2011, he was a member of a team of reporters who were awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, the highest honor in journalism, for their coverage of municipal corruption. He was also a named Pulitzer finalist in 2014 in breaking news for his coverage of the mass shooting at UC Santa Barbara.
