Netflix and Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison have set up comedy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah!, based on the YA novel of the same name from Alloy Entertainment.
Idina Menzel, who starred with Sandler in Uncut Gems, Saturday Night Live castmember Sarah Sherman, Sunny Sandler, Sadie Sandler and Luis Guzmán are set for the comedy from director Sammi Cohen. Sandler’s entire family, his teenage daughters Sunny and Sadie and his wife Jackie, will co-star in the movie. In the film, Sandler plays Stanley Sugarman, a travel weary scout for the Philadelphia 76ers who dreams of being a coach himself one day but is stuck on the road searching for unknown talent. His search takes him to Spain where he discovers Bo Cruz (NBA player Juancho Hernangómez), an incredible streetball player with a troubled past. Together, Sugarman and Cruz aim to prove that underdogs can come out on top.

Mark Strong, Mélanie Laurent, Jodie Turner-Smith, Kuhoo Verma, Enrique Arce, Tony Goldwyn, Annie Mumolo and Zurin Villanueva have signed on for second installment, with Adeel Akhtar’s Maharajah and John Kani’s Colonel Ulenga returning.

His "Singing Cowboy" concept for Truth was nominated for two Emmys, and went on to become one of the most awarded ads in the world. After more than 20 years working for clients including MTV Networks, Converse, Reebok, Scion, and Penguin Books, Grady was recently named director of design at Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
