A baseball bore.
This episode combines two of the things I dislike most about Married With Children: Al's anti-feminist group NO MA'AM and American sports (with pro-athlete guest-stars who I don't recognise). Unsurprisingly, I didn't find it very funny.
The plot is based on an actual event: the Major League Baseball strike of 1994/1995. Al is suffering from baseball withdrawal, so he and his NO MA'AM pals set up their own league, the teams sponsored by nudie bars.
Featuring the likes of Mike Piazza (who?), Bret Saberhagen (who?), Frank Thomas (who?), Danny Tartabull (who?), Dave Winfield (who?) and Joe Morgan (who?), A Man for No Seasons might be of interest to fans of '90s baseball, but for someone like me, who hasn't a clue about such things, the only reason to watch is to catch Christina Applegate in a little dress.
