Jude Herrera is an American actress who made her onscreen debut starring with Ann-Margret and Kris Kristofferson in the television movie, Blue Rodeo, for director Peter Werner. Herrera portrays a deaf youth in the movie, which is based on the novel by Jo-Ann Mapson. Herrera's performance in a teen-pregnancy themed stage play at L.A.T.C.'s Mainstage led to her feature film debut.
Herrera was born and raised in New Mexico by her mother, a beloved kindergarten teacher, and her maternal grandparents. She began training in dance at a very young age and started acting in public school drama club performances and competitions. Passing on a career in science with an NNSA lab in New Mexico, Herrera received her formal acting training in New York City. She graduated from a private performing arts conservatory in Manhattan.
