Lem...action hero!
planktonrules28 September 2018
Back in the old days, 'Chic' Sale was a stage star who specialized in playing men much older than he actually was. When talking pictures came along, he took this characterization to the big screen. Here, he plays 'Lem'...a Station Agent working for the railroad. It is interesting to note that Sale also played Lem in "Lem Putt, the Specialist"....though this other film is hardly worth your time unless you are a Chic Sale groupie!

In this film, Lem is on duty when he's attacked by two evil hobos who want to rob the railroad. He fights them both as hard as he can but during this time, a train is going to crash unless Lem signals them to stop. Can Lem stop the train AND bring these two malefactors to justice?

This is a very pleasant film. I wouldn't define it as a comedy so much as a slice of life film but it's a decent time-passer.
