A Day to Die (2022)
How are there ratings for a movie that's not out yet?
What happen to the community here? Seriously how are there reviews for a movie that's not out yet? People see actors that they like or diss like and give the movie a bad rating.
It Could Happen to You (1994)
Systemic Racism
Cage is a married man to a women of color, who gives two million dollars to a random white woman. Cage's wife Perez is not respected throughout the film, Cage goes out of his way to give " their" money to a complete stranger.
There was many issues with the film, one of them being that the writing is tone def. There's a newspaper print, where they cut Perez out of the print.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Humanity is doomed in our reality. Here's why
My thoughts about Don't Look Up
This movie was a social experiment being played on the audience. The folks I watched the movie with were laughing throughout the film. They were laughing at how stupid the current state of society is. Spoiler alert.. The world was ending due to a comet hitting the earth, and there wasn't anything anyone could do about it.
While watching the film I'm sitting around people in tears about the reality that the characters were faced with, at every turn it was a real life satire of humans being divided, like we are with politics and being vaccinated.
Now let's dive into how my brain works while watching the film, I'm a creator so I understood right away what the director was doing, again it's a social experiment on the audience, so the whole time I was angry, and in fear about the humans in this movie. I then turned on the people I was sitting watching the film with, and I told them you all apart of the problem. They're like relax, chill out watch the movie.
I then had to stop the movie to explain to them that they're exactly the part of the problem, and that this is exactly why I'm reality this situation can happen.
I told them they should feel exactly like DiCaprio, and Jennifer Lawrence. They shouldn't be mindlessly laughing about the movie. I told them they were exactly like the folks ignoring the scientist.
Mind blown moment it immediately shifted their perception, and then they finally understood how my brain works, not just about the movie but in life.
They now look at me in a different light
Real time perception shift.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Complex Matrix that shows we are all trapped in The Matrix
I absolutely loved the movie, it was less about the action, and Neo moments and more about well The Matrix.
The movie spoke about the following
1. The writers
2. The movie Studios
3. Our Society
4. The Actors
5. Social Media
If you pay attention to the above, you'll understand why this movie was great. The movie didn't leave you with the obvious breadcrumbs.
Bruised (2020)
Again the racist folk attack another black film on IMDB
Tired of reading thru reviews with an underline agenda, most of these reviews are from the same folk that comment on other Fb, Instagram, and Twitter feeds. Nothing constructive. This used to be a great place for constructive and intellectual reviews. Now it's just common internet filth.
Now on to the review
Hallie Berry's vision and perspective through the whole film was very well done. I liked the close, gorilla style camera angles it captured the emotion very well. The bonding with her son and their journey was compelling, The story and writing told like a biopic. Great job to the screen writer.
The Harder They Fall (2021)
It's not a black western, it's not a blaxploitation film, it's not a fantasy film
It's fiction, but Mary Fields was a real person. IMBD use to be a place of non bias reviews, I use to trust this site back in the day. Now it's just post Trumpers spewing their narrative on black reviews. Purposely giving black projects bad ratings
It's really ridiculous, there were black cowboys etc..
Stop it with these racial heavy reviews.
Halt and Catch Fire (2014)
How To Catch Fire, How to Crash And Burn
This was a show about failure, and more failures. The show tells the reality of people Snd their will to not give up. It told the honest reality of so many people that have the talent to succeed but never cross the threshold.
I fell in love with every character, the writing was spectacular, it's hard to explain what it does to your brain.
The series finally song sums up the entire mood:
Brilliantly Brilliant.
