Former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Monica Garcia just announced she had a miscarriage. In an Instagram post on Sunday, she shared the devastating news with her 438,000 followers. “One thing I promised myself when opening my life up to all of you was that I was going to do it completely unapologetically and authentically raw as possible. I would show you my life in all aspects because that is what I agreed to do,” the TV personality wrote. “Unfortunately I need to share a very heartbreaking aspect.” The post features two photos in black-and-white, one with herself on an exam table in a hospital gown as she looks at a screen containing what appears to be an ultrasound. “‘There is no heartbeat’ I don’t have many words and I’m still processing all of this myself,” she shared. “As quickly as this happened, that’s how quickly things have changed.

Here we go again. Apparently not content with his ongoing feud with Jimmy Kimmel, Donald Trump added two more Late Nighters to his enemies list this weekend.
Trump took to Truth Social with his take on the latest episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, which featured an interview with third-party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. While the post was mostly aimed at Rfk Jr., Trump made sure to get a couple barbs in at Maher first.
“I actually watched, first time in a long time, ratings challenged Bill Maher’s really boring interview with Rfk Jr. last night,” Trump wrote in a Sunday morning post.
Despite Trump’s claims to the contrary, in fact Maher’s program recently doubled its audience when CNN began rebroadcasting the Friday night HBO show Saturday nights in prime time.

Peacock is peacocking ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics: the NBCUniversal streaming service is raising its monthly rates by $2 on both its Premium and Premium Plus plans. The new rates go into effect for new customers on July 18 — the Paris Olympics start on the 26th.
Existing customers will get the Olympics at their current rate: the price hike for them will hold until August 17 at the earliest (dependent on billing date). The Olympics close on August 11.
Peacock Premium will now cost $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Peacock Premium Plus, the ad-free tier, will run $13.99 per month or $139.99 per year. Premium Plus members can also download content and get live, local NBC channels.
It could use the money: Peacock lost $639 million in the first quarter of 2024. The company has not announced a profitability timeline.
Peacock has “nearly 100,000 programming hours,” the company says. Of those, 8,000 are live sports — not counting the 5,000 coming from the Olympics this summer.

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg started out by framing the discussion with, “Obviously, and let’s be very clear about this, no one supports any anti-Semitic hate speech and students fearing for their safety. But do they have the right to peacefully protest about ending violence? Isn’t this part of being an American and also, standing up when you see something that’s wrong?” From there, Alyssa Farah Griffin was the first to offer her take, agreeing that the right to free speech and assembly is deeply protected in America. However, she argued that some of the protests are infringing on others’ rights,...

It’s back. Black MirrorSeason 6 returned June 15 and was the most unpredictable season yet.
There’s always been an element of the unexpected baked into the dark, satirical anthology, but with Season 6, creator Charlie Brooker tells Tudum that he even surprised himself.
“I’ve always felt that Black Mirror should feature stories that are entirely distinct from one another, and keep surprising people — and myself — or else what’s the point? It should be a series that can’t be easily defined, and can keep reinventing itself,” the writer, creator and executive producer said.
So that’s exactly what he did. Not every episode of the new season will be exactly what you’re expecting — but that’s the whole point.

It’s well known that in her decades-long career, Shonda Rhimes — the writer behind such television sensations as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “Bridgerton” — has smashed pervasive racist-casting tropes, and in doing so, changed the literal face of TV, whether that meant having “Scandal” revolve around Kerry Washington’s antihero Olivia Pope or elevating Regé-Jean Page to thirsty heights as a Black duke in Regency England on “Bridgerton.”
What’s talked about less is how Rhimes has changed the way people speak. Any parent of a teenager who’s heard the derisive usage of “pick me” from Meredith’s “Pick me!

Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom, gets involved in a passionate romance with Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the 24-year-old lead singer of the boy band August Moon. Since the book’s release in 2017, there’s been criticism of the age-gap romance at the center of the story.. To some, Solène and Hayes’ relationship is problematic because of their age difference. The backlash resurfaced online ahead of the film adaptation’s release. “I think it’s so derogatory,” director Michael Showalter told TV Insider during SXSW about the age-gap criticism surrounding the movie. “As a director, I feel like I get to know every character in my movies, so I get to experience the emotions of everybody I get ...

Park Chan-wook doesn’t actually know how Robert Downey Jr. responded to his characters in “The Sympathizer.”
The acclaimed Korean director worked with Downey for the first time while adapting Viet Thanh Nguyen’s bestselling novel for HBO, and he expected a big-name star at that level to drag out the negotiation process after getting an offer. To Park’s surprise, Downey circled back quickly, and the two of them started to dig into his character — his characters.
Downey, who also executive produced the series along with wife Susan, plays four characters (so far) in the limited series, each with a unique look and voice and motivations — all of which were built in process. There’s C.I.A. agent Claude, the Orientalist Professor Hammer, filmmaker Niko, and Congressman Ned Godwin, and Downey appears to thoroughly enjoy embodying every single one. Nearly 20 years ago in New York City, a young, restless, teenaged Julia Fox would wait patiently for her neighbors to throw out their trash before sneaking down to the basement and scavenging the recycling bins for magazines she could use to make collages. She would skip over the copy and head straight to the photos — oftentimes of models and streetstyle fashion — and use scissors and glue to reimagine the most striking images into her own creation.

Family Feud likes providing suggestive questions that lure contestants into giving surprising answers, but even host Steve Harvey was shocked by two dirty responses on last Thursday’s (April 25) episode. In a clip shared on the show’s official Instagram page on Friday, April 26, Harvey asks the Maye family to “Name something you stuck your finger in more times than you can count.” A contestant, whom Harvey calls Pastor Warrick, looks uncomfortable as he tries to cover up the microphone with his hand. The long-time host then leans in so Warrick can whisper his answer. But it’s hard to whisper on a TV set equipped with numerous microphones, and everyone hears his guess of “Sexual stuff.” The studio audience immediately starts laughing as a shocked Harvey has to take a moment to collect himself and walks away from the podium. Unfortunately for the Maye family, the answer isn’t on the board.

As if Georgia would ever go away that quietly. Well, bust out the peaches and cream, because Ginny & Georgia will be back for two more seasons. Better yet, Season 3 is officially filming right now!
“We ended Season 2 with Georgia arrested for murder — ruining her fairy tale wedding and leaving the fate of the Miller family hanging in the balance,” creator and executive producer Sarah Lampert tells Tudum. “It’s always been Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia against the world, but the world has never come for them quite as hard as it will in Season 3. French actor Gérard Depardieu was taken into police custody today, Monday, April 29, in Paris, France, where he will face questioning over accusations of sexual assault. As reported by CNN, the prolific actor presented himself at a police station in Paris on Monday morning. He is being questioned regarding accusations of sexual assault by two women alleged to have taken place on film sets. This comes after French investigative news website Médiapart published a report in April 2023 detailing claims from 13 women of Depardieu’s alleged sexually inappropriate behavior. The accusations were linked to several films and TV series between 2004 and 2022 and included cases of groping, obscene comments, and inappropriate acts while on set. At the time, Depardieu’s lawyers said the Oscar-nominated actor denied any criminal behavior and also stated that the Médiapart report appeared to be based on “very subjective assessments and/or moral judgments.” In an open letter published last year,...

[Warning: The below contains spoilers for the April 29 episode of Vanderpump Villa.] The drama has boiled over at the Chateau Rosabelle on Vanderpump Villa. So much that Priscilla Ferrari decided it was her time to leave the French estate after meeting with boss Lisa Vanderpump. Surely, the explosive dinner the staff had on their day off didn’t help matters. Hannah Fouch and Chauntel “Telly” Hall found themselves at the center of the heated discussion that resulted in fireworks at the dinner table, putting a damper on the picturesque and classy ambiance. Things got spicy when Emily Kovacs called out the two as “mean girls” for talking about Gabriella Sanon’s looks behind her back. Priscilla could relate, already having a run-in with Hannah after she felt some type of way about how she was sitting with her on-off again guy Marciano Brunette. The Brazilian had enough and was also feeling homesick. She leaves a void in the workforce with...

It is a superb month for returning favorites like Bridgerton Season 3 on Netflix, Interview With the Vampire on AMC, and Hacks Season 3 on Max. Evil fans should also get excited because the final season kicks off at the end of the month, and we don't have to be sad the demented ride is coming to an end until August.

The alleged real-life stalker depicted in Baby Reindeer has spoken out after fans of the hit Netflix series uncovered her identity. According to the Daily Mail, the unnamed woman is considering taking legal action for defamation against the show and its star and creator, Richard Gadd. Baby Reindeer centers on Gadd’s Donny Dunn, a struggling stand-up comedian who takes pity on a lonely woman, Martha (Jessica Gunning), at the bar where he works. This brief encounter soon spirals into a months-long saga of torment as Gadd finds out Martha is a serial stalker with a history of violence. The British series is based on something that happened to Gadd in real life, though he admitted elements were changed for legal and artistic reasons. In real life, Gadd’s stalker allegedly sent him 41,000 emails, 744 tweets, 100 pages of letters, and 350 hours of voicemails over multiple years. However, the alleged inspiration for...

HBO is continuing to tinker with its YouTube strategy for Last Week Tonight.
Two months after angering fans (and apparently John Oliver himself) when it decided to delay its traditional next-day posting of the Sunday night show’s main segment til later in the week, HBO has begun posting full episodes of Last Week Tonight to YouTube. There is a catch, however–those full episodes are a decade old, at least to start.
The entire first season of Last Week Tonight landed on YouTube for free viewing Sunday night, with more apparently on the way.
The show posted a promotional video announcing the full season drop earlier in the weekend, promising that Seasons 2-8 are also on their way. (Those hoping to watch full episodes from the show’s most recent three seasons will still need a Max subscription here in the U.S.)
