- TriviaAccording to the episode title, it refers to a speech given by former U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld on February 12th, 2002, about the lack of evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The full quote is as follows: "Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say, we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns--the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tends to be the difficult ones."
- GoofsA girl (patient) begins to swell drastically in her appendages. The camera focuses on her hands being quite swollen before the girl falls to the ground. As she hits the ground, the camera shot shows her hands exhibiting no swelling and completely normal.

Speech, speech!
House, Wilson and Cuddy attend an upstate symposium, at which Wilson is to deliver a speech. Back at the ranch, the crew deals with a teen who, after a wild night out in the city, develops swollen appendages followed by a heart attack. Problem is, she will not tell the truth about her wild night out, so the crew is at a loss in trying to figure out the cause of her condition. House has to help via cell phone. A little too much soap opera nonsense as House pines for Cuddy and Chase has marital problems stemming from his deep dark secret (remember the African dictator episode?). Still, not bad for a sixth-season House episode.
