The travel series “Conan O’Brien Must Go” has been renewed for Season 2 at Max.
The announcement was made as part of the Warner Bros. Discovery upfront presentation to advertisers in New York on Wednesday. The second season of the series will consist of six episodes, whereas the first season was four.
“This latest travel show has been so fun and rewarding that I suspected it was all a cruel prank. My apologies in advance to the next six countries,” O’Brien said in a statement.
In Season 1, O’Brien travels to Norway, Thailand, Argentina, and Ireland, surprising people he met through his podcast, “Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan.”
“Conan’s ridiculousness knows no bounds,” said Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president of HBO programming, late night & specials. “Our audience told us in no uncertain terms that four episodes of ‘Conan O’Brien Must Go’ is not nearly enough. To which we say,...

Okay, all you Meryl Streep superfans out there. You may think you know everything there is to know about the acclaimed three-time Academy Award winner. But can you name which of her Oscar-nominated roles she claims she was not “sexy enough” for until she “stuffed” her bra with paper towels for the director? Streep has been nominated a whopping 21 times throughout her career, an academy record, so we’ll help you narrow it down by giving you a few hints.
Hint #1: The film is based on a 1937 memoir.
Hint #2: Streep portrays the memoir’s author.
Hint #3: The movie won seven Oscars, including Best Picture.

June 24, 2021, marked the end of an era as Conan O’Brien signed off for the final time with the series finale of “Conan.” And less that a month after his exit stage left from late night after 28 years — he was the longest-serving late-night host until bidding adieu — his namesake show scored an Emmy nomination for Best Variety Talk Series. Now, can he leave on the highest of notes and actually win?
“Conan” is currently in third place in our early odds, behind five-time reigning champ “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” and “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” and ahead of “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
But perhaps this is a case of the nomination being the harder part. This category can be very samey-samey, not just with repetitive winners, but nominees as well — if it weren’t for the proportional submission rule, we probably would’ve...

As the famed host ends his late-night career with the final episode of “Conan” airing June 24, we look back on Conan’s best moments.
1. Conan Runs Across the U.S.
In his debut on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” the newbie host realizes that he forgot to move to LA before assuming hosting responsibilities — and proceeds to run across the United States in this cold open.
2. The $1.5 Million Sketch
As Conan assumes the impending cancellation of “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” he choose to use the NBC’s large budget to create a nonsensical skit. Check out how Conan involves a Bugatti and the royalties to a Rolling Stones classic to make up this $1.5 million sketch.
3. Old Time Baseball
Conan visits an old-timey baseball game in this beloved clip. In his final “Late Night” episode, Conan referred to this sketch as a personal favorite.

Find Out What Ashton Kutcher Wanted to Name His Baby Boy (Before Mila Kunis 'Knocked Down' The Idea)
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are preparing to welcome their second child, but the couple isn't ready to share any possible names for their forthcoming son.
Kutcher sat down with Conan O'Brien on Wednesday, where he opened up on one name he'd been arguing for, but to no avail: Hawkeye!
"I'm an Iowan, so to have a kid named Hawkeye?" marveled Kutcher. "And it's like M.A.S.H.! Like, he could be a doctor!"
Kutcher was of course referring to the character Benjamin "Hawkeye" Pierce, a Korean War field surgeon in the beloved film and TV franchise M.A.S.H., played by Donald Sutherland in the 1970 movie and Alan Alda in the long-running CBS series.

Back in April, I wrote an open letter to Zack Snyder:
Dear Zack Snyder
That piece was shared more than 10k times, and was one of the coolest things I've had the privilege of experiencing in my three years as a writer for Lrm (Side note, it's a total bummer that when we switched from Latino-Review to Lrm we lost all of our old Disqus comments and Share data!). Since then, I've received requests and suggestions for more open letters. Since I don't want this to be a gimmick, I've always responded by saying that I'll only write these letters when I feel particularly strongly about something.
Such is the case with what's going on now with Deadpool 2, and it's something that I began to hit on during this week's spirited discussion on the Los Fanboys Podcast. So here goes nothing...

Sarah Silverman made big news on Monday night when she called the "Bernie or Bust" crowd "ridiculous" from the DNC stage in primetime, but for Howard Stern fans her speech was notable for another reason: it was the first time "Baba Booey" was invoked, at least to my knowledge, at a major political convention. For those not in the know: "Baba Booey" is the nickname of longtime Howard Stern Show producer Gary Dell'Abate, who has (mostly) come to embrace the moniker since he was first anointed with it on July 26, 1990 (backstory here). More broadly, though, it's become a way for Stern Show fans to make their presence known at high-profile events, from professional golf tournaments to network news broadcasts. In short: when you hear "Baba Booey" shouted out, you can be pretty sure there's a Stern fanatic in the general vicinity. Silverman -- who was an ardent Bernie Sanders supporter...

Recently at Star Wars Celebration, Alden Ehrenreich was officially confirmed to be the new Han Solo in a forthcoming spin-off movie. We learned that he was the first person to audition, though we know that many other people were considered for the role, including Charlie Cox (TV's Daredevil), Miles Teller (War Dogs) and Dave Franco (Now You See Me 2), who have all spoken about the audition process. Late night television host Conan O'Brien has now revealed a brand new video, purporting to be "Young Han Solo Audition Tapes." Watch it below. The first actor featured is Bill Hader, who was an instrumental part of the process to give voice to Bb-8, the rolling droid introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Clearly, his vocal abilities are quite...

Conan O'Brien has been hosting his show from San Diego Comic-Con for the past few days, and yesterday, he released a video of a bunch of unlikely actors auditioning for the role of Young Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars spin-off (a part that eventually went to Alden Ehrenreich in real life). Personally, I'm a big fan of Jeff Goldblum's almost transcendental take on the character.

Amber Rose is the (naughty) gift that keeps giving.
The model and SlutWalk founder spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her upcoming VH1 talk show, The Amber Rose Show, and revealed that the parting gifts she hopes to offer audience members will certainly be buzzworthy.
"I'd love to give out dildos and throw them into the crowd," she said of how she'd like to emulate Oprah Winfrey's signature on-air giveaways. "That would be f---ing epic."
"If you know me, you know I'm very sex-positive," she explains. "We have a full segment of sex and relationship questions that are very extreme.

Jennifer Lopez and Leonardo DiCaprio are apparently "Boo Boo" and "Baby" to each other. That's one revelation to come out of "The Late Late Show" host James Corden's new "Carpool Karaoke" segment with JLo. The host and his guest basically pranked Leo during the segment, with James sending the Oscar winner a ridiculous fake text from JLo's phone, then the pair poked fun at Leo's serious(ly hilarious) response.
The entire 13-minute video is a fun watch, including Jennifer's insistence that she did not insure her butt for a million dollars, 'cause that's not even a thing in this country. But the best part is when she breaks out her phone and James asks her to name the most famous person in there. That happens around the 9:50 mark, where she notes she's friends with Demi Lovato, Chris Brown, Bradley Cooper, Cristiano Ronaldo, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Fergie,...

After the premiere of a new "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" clip on the Conan O'Brien talk show the other day, director Zack Snyder spoke more about the movie with the host and specifically compared the differences between the new Batmobile and the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy.
"First of all when we were working on the movie and we were like 'We're going to put Batman in the movie, that's cool,' I said 'We need a Batmobile, right?' Because if you're the smallest amount of a dork you want to make a Batmobile right? That seems like the first thing you want to do.
I think the cool thing that we try to do, you've seen the Chris Nolan Batman movies and the Tumbler, they repurposed a military vehicle. So the cool thing about our Batmobile is it is purpose-built by Bruce Wayne to be the Batmobile,...

Yesterday night, Zack Snyder, who is the movie director for the upcoming, highly anticipated "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice" super hero/action flick, showed up on the Conan O'Brien show to do some press for the movie, and delivered this new movie clip (below). It gives us new looks at Superman and Batman's unfriendly dialogue with Superman telling Batman to just, pretty much, back the hell off and give it up. He also hardcore disses Batman by telling him the Bat is dead. Then Batman promises to make Superman bleed! Uh oh! Check it out, below. The film features: Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Ma Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg ,and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Jeremy Irons,Jason Momoa as Aquaman,...

Most of the late night hosts paid tribute to David Bowie last night/early this morning, but only one actually had him on his show. That's because, with the exception of Conan O'Brien, all of today's late night hosts came into the game after Bowie basically stopped doing interviews. O'Brien gave us some clips of Bowie's appearances, pointing out that Bowie was indeed a "phenomenal musician," but he was also "incredibly nice" and "always funny." And with that, we got a montage of Bowie making fun of O'Brien's bald audience member, performing a familiar tune accompanied by O'Brien on the guitar (until O'Brien's G string breaks), doing a killer Tom Brokaw impression, and performing "Hickory Dickory Dock," Bowie-style. O'Brien didn't even show all of his Bowie clips. I found a few more (also a claymation version of an appearance) including one where Bowie admits his true feelings about Cincinnati, showing...

Expanding its Grand Theft Auto travel dreams, the Fast and Furious franchise has set its sights on a new, long-banned destination: Cuba. THR reports that Furious 8 is looking to film parts of the sequel in Cuba, making it the first major movie to shoot in the previously restricted island since President Obama lifted its decades-old embargo last year. Director F. Gary Gray has reportedly already traveled to Cuba for professional research, and Universal says it's in the process of getting approval from both the U.S. and Cuban governments to film there. On Wednesday, Showtime announced that House of Lies would become the first American scripted show to film in Cuba, with plans to film its fifth-season finale in Havana. Last March, Conan O'Brien became the first late-night host to film in Cuba since the embargo was set in the '60s, while Bob Yari's indie Hemingway biopic...

When Kristen Stewart hits the late night circuit, awkwardness always ensues, along with the occasional f-bomb. ("Take my bathroom to the friend? What the f--k?") But she's now on an awards season push for her supporting role in "Clouds of Sils Maria," so she returned to "The Tonight Show" to talk about how she's the first American actress to win France's Cesar Award -- and then she played The Whisper Challenge. It's kind of refreshing to see how she's always slightly nervous and thrown off, and she even admitted at one point that she was not having fun. At least she's not fake!
