Others joining Scream Queen Season 2 as regulars are John Stamos, Taylor Lautner and James Earl.

Kirstie Alley is coming to her own defense after receiving backlash for her comment that she wasn't "circus fat" in a new advertisement with Jenny Craig. The former Fat Actress star appeared on Rachael Ray's daytime talk show and told her, "So, on my ad, I say I'm not fat-fat, I'm not circus fat, I've just gained 30 pounds. Well first of all, I'm talking about myself, and second of all, I grew up in an era—pioneer days—I grew up in an era where my dad would take me to the fair and to the circus and they actually had fat ladies in the circus." She added, "Everybody in the audience was so thin that they would bring out this fat lady and would like, point and...

Former Fat Actress star Kirstie Alley is on a mission to get slim! Alley, 63, announced Monday, April 7, that she is joining Jenny Craig again, a decade after she worked with the weight loss company in 2004. Kirstie Alley and Jenny Craig are back together once again! The former Fat Actress star announced her renewed partnership with the weight loss company Monday. "I'm not like circus fat," she says in an ad, "I just wanna lose like 20 pounds." Alley first worked with Jenny Craig in 2004, shedding 75 pounds thanks to their food and fitness program before parting ways with the company in 2007. So why, aside from wanting to drop a little weight, is she back with Jenny now? "Because your food is so yummy," she gushes, "and I want my personal consultant Laura back!" Jenny Craig CEO Monty Sharma said in a statement that when the 63-year-old star reached out, "We welcomed her...

TV Land debuted its new comedy "Kirstie" Wednesday (Dec. 4), a sitcom starring "Cheers" alums Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman plus "Seinfeld" alum Michael Richards. One would think with the sitcom pedigree gracing the small screen for TV Land's new "Kirstie," the comedy would be better.
Unfortunately, the show looks and feels like something made 20 years ago -- except not as funny as the gems of 20 years ago. The laughs, when there are some, are cheap. A Viagra joke? "Suck it, Angelina Jolie," as if she cares about some Broadway actress being put on the cover of People.
As if a Broadway diva would be on the cover of People. Is this set in the 1950s?
It's not devoid of bright spots -- there was a lovely moment when Alley's character Maddie is telling assistant Thelma (Perlman) about giving her son up for adoption. "I'm not a mother," she concludes,...

When we’ve seen Kirstie Alley on TV in the past decade or so, it’s largely been as herself, or some exaggerated version thereof. Whether she’s poking fun at her weight issues in Fat Actress and Kirstie Alley’s Big Life, showing off her moves on Dancing With the Stars or getting caught up in some controversial Scientology-related news story, the focus hasn’t really been on her acting. That’s why the star is reveling in Kirstie, the new TV Land sitcom that signals a triumphant return to form, and shows she still knows her way around a joke. “It does feel like … Continue reading →

Is there some bad blood between Kirstie Alley and Melissa McCarthy? According to a new report, Alley is pretty upset about a storyline introduced in "Mike & Molly."
National Enquirer claims that Alley considers the new direction of "Mike & Molly" to be a direct slight to her. Because McCarthy's character talks about wanting to pursue a career in musical theater and because in her new TV Land series Alley plays a musical theater star, she reportedly considered this to be a personal insult.
"Kirstie was flabbergasted. She feels like the sudden plot change is a slap in the face," a source tells National Enquirer. "She's not taking the adjustment to Melissa's character lightly. She now sees Melissa as her competition -- and has let her know it."
The insider adds, "With vehicles like 'Veronica's Closet' -- in which she gained a lot of weight -- and 'Fat Actress,...

John Travolta and Kirstie Alley are doing it again: The "Look Who's Talking" co-stars and longtime friends are set to play lovers in an episode of Alley's upcoming TV Land sitcom "Kirstie."
Travolta has been booked for a single episode in the role of a stagehand who has a one night stand with the star (Alley) of a Broadway show and then won't leave her alone.
"I'm excited about working with Kirstie again, in addition to such terrific talent on the show," Travolta said in a statement. "It's always a treat to be surrounded by people you respect so much both personally and professionally."
In addition to collaborating on three "Look Who's Talking" films, Travolta also guest starred on Alley's Showtime comedy "Fat Actress" and appeared on her short-lived reality series "Kirstie Alley's Big Life."

Abercrombie & Fitch's CEO Mike Jeffries has pissed off a whole lot of people with his comments that his clothing company is not geared towards overweight or uncool people. His statements about Abercrombie & Fitch's choice clientele spread like wildfire on the Internet and even sparked a campaign called "Fitch the Homeless."
Kirstie Alley is one of the people who was turned off by Jeffries' statements. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in which she also talked about the plethora of plus-sized actresses on television nowadays, the "Fat Actress" star slammed A&F.

Kirstie Alley has famously battled her weight for years, and even after losing 100 pounds, the former "Fat Actress" star seems to have a sense of humor about about her size.

Kelly Preston is returning to the world of series TV with the lead role in ABC's comedy pilot "Keep Calm and Karey On."
Preston will star as Karey, the straight arrow in a family of petty thieves, drug addicts and narcissists. When her brother is sent to prison, she adopts his two children in an attempt to give them a better life.
The cast also includes Jane Seymour ("Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman") as Karey's mother and Majandra Delfino ("Roswell") as Karey's self-absorbed sister. Andrea Abbate ("Accidentally on Purpose") wrote the script.
If the pilot is picked up to series, it would mark Preston's first full-time TV commitment since her role as an oversexed teenager in NBC's short-lived '80s Army base soap "For Love and Honor." She was in the cast of HBO's 2008 pilot for British TV adaptation "Suburban Shootout," but that was not picked up.

Lady Gaga isn't the first celebrity to put on a few pounds. If anyone can relate to being scrutinized for weight gain, it's Kirstie Alley. Dancing With the Stars premiered last night with all the overly spray-tanned faces, judge sniping and glitter we’ve come to expect and love over the past 15 seasons. And the first all-star season of the oft-humiliating franchise took the competition up a notch with winners, finalists and favorites of the past shimmying their way through a tougher scoring system. You know, since every alum is now an expert dancer (except Pamela Anderson, just saying). But no matter how hard everyone worked, someone has to go home tonight. So let’s break down the good, the not-so-bad and the ugly from the dance floor and see if we can predict which DWTS alum will be having the first last dance.

Kirstie Alley is celebrating her newly fit self in a number of ways: walking a runway for the first time, taking a trip to Italy -- and appearing on the cover of People's new issue.
"I have more energy than I've ever had in my whole life," Alley tells the magazine during a trip to Florence, Italy. Alley, 60, has lost 100 pounds in the past couple years, aided by an organic diet and her run on "Dancing With the Stars" last spring. She's continued dancing pretty much every day since, which has helped her keep the weight off.
Alley has famously struggled with her weight over the years -- and even made fun of it in the Showtime mockumentary "Fat Actress" a few years back. But a couple years ago, when she says she weighed about 230 pounds, she decided she'd had enough.

Kirstie Alley looks amazing after recently losing 100lbs. But the formerly "Fat Actress" wants you to know that she lost the weight, the old fashion way -- through diet and exercise.
Today the 60-year-old actress, who recently walked in the Zang Toi runway show during New York Fashion Week, tweeted:
"Thank u for all your Sweet comments.. No surgery, No flippin lasers, No barfing, No starving...Jeez ...my products, organic food, dance. end."
Alley's weight has been yo-yoing for years, prompting speculation that this last massive weight loss was assisted by gastric bypass surgery, or an eating disorder as was reported by the tabloid The National Enquirer.
The former "Cheers" star is threatening legal action against the Enquirer for their report that the Alley has become bulimic, vomiting after every meal to lose weight.
Alley, who can't spell the word "bulimia," responded to the allegations via Twitter on Tuesday, writing:
"Soo.

Kirstie Alley is back, y’all! After blowing up the joint with Fat Actress, Kirstie Alley’s Big Life, and on Dancing With The Stars, the proudly rotund rapscallion is now channeling her Xenu-driven energy into a new sitcom for ABC. Called The Manzanis, the show is being called “a new take on Roseanne,” in which Alley stars as a “very opinionated wife/mother who, along with her family, moves to repressed country-club town.” Um, okay! (Tim Allen and Nancy Travis are coming back to TV, so why not just pretend it’s 1996 altogether?) Now, with Kirstie Alley, everyone knows the fat jokes come easy. So easy, in fact, that almost all of her recent projects have been in reaction to her massive weight gain (and subsequent loss). With that said, who’s gonna watch a show called The Manzanis when, instead, you could watch a show with a very...

Los Angeles — When Kirstie Alley performs on the "Dancing With the Stars" season finale, she'll do it in a much smaller dress than the one she wore on the season premiere.
The costume Alley wore for her "Dancing" debut had to be taken in 38 inches for her to wear again for the show's closing episode Tuesday. She will reprise her opening-night dance, the cha-cha, in her original costume – minus about 38 inches in alterations from throughout the outfit.
The 60-year-old actress has been noticeably shrinking week after week, but she was coy when asked Monday how much weight she has lost during her two and a half months on the show.
"There will be some reveal of that at some point, but I really didn't care," she said. "As long as I kept changing and changing and changing, I really didn't care. It was like, keep whittling, whittling, whittling. And the...

Check out all of their photos from the entire season, and see her newly svelte self: Alley has gotten noticeably toner over the course of her run on the show. She bared her stomach in a midriff in the middle of the season, and shimmied in a purple fringed dress last week. Kirstie Alley is eyeing a return to situation comedy with potential projects in the works at TV Land and HBO.

Age is just a number: Ralph Macchio, 49, and Kirstie Alley, 60, can cut a rug. Macchio danced a hard, out of the gate move, the fox-trot, and the judges approved, with Carrie Ann Inaba lauding his elegance, But Bruno Tonioli always has something off-kilter to add, and for Ralph, it was his .creepy. hands. Dwts News! Dancing With The Stars biggest controversy is Fat Actress Kirstie Alley? [Mar. 9] Emmy-winning actress Kirstie Alley may be the most controversial contestant on season 12 of Dancing With the Stars, the latest and least controversial season, many are saying. At 60 years old, Kirstie Alley is the oldest contestant and arguably the most famous, both for her roles on the hit television shows Cheers and Frasier and for her stint as the spokeswoman for Jenny Craig. Kirstie Alley long has been known for her struggle with weight. Having topped out at 230 pounds (at just 5'7.5") she recently lost 60 pounds, she said, and she's hoping the rigors of training for the show will help her drop another 30 pounds or more. "I think with this strenuous, rigorous dance schedule, I think it's going to work. It's exciting," she told Us Magazine. Kirstie Alley initially rejected the idea of being a contestant on Dancing With the Stars.

The new season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" has two well-documented 800 pound gorillas: Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the most argumentative and mouthy of all the pro dancers, and Kirstie Alley, no shy Petunia herself. The former Showtime "Fat Actress" star has waged a public battle with weight loss, being the main spokesperson for Jenny Craig, only to regain the weight lost, and be let go of her contract for the sin of it. Last season, Maksim Chmerkovskiy had words and a tense back-and-forth with Carrie Ann Inaba over his scores with dance partner Brandy Norwood. When Kirstie Alley stepped into the lead female spot on the hit sitcom Cheers, her fearless, bawdy, neurotic energy thwarted all predictions that she'd never fill Shelley Long's shoes. She even earned an Emmy. Since then, Alley has continued to catch the world off guard by segueing into feature films, both arty and mainstream (Deconstructing Harry, the Look Who's Talking movies), headlining popular post-Cheers series Veronica's Closet and making a name for herself as one of the most unapologetic of Scientology's brethren. Then, when her weight ballooned at age 53, she used her indomitable spirit to turn her bathroom-scale struggles into a new branch of her career: She's been a Jenny Craig spokesperson; invented her own weight-loss program, Organic Liaison; starred in a semiautobiographical Showtime sitcom, Fat Actress; and to show what it's like to be an overweight celebrity single mom of two teenagers — William True and Lillie Price...
