When Alice walks with Arthur toward her house for the first time, a woman watering her shrubs can be seen and a letter carrier walks up, then back down her porch steps twice. The background scene repeats itself, letter carrier, woman setting down hose, etc. The letter carrier approaches Alice moments later where she then has to shamefully admit to Arthur that this is, indeed, her house that she is in front of. Likely a rear projection scene that was duplicated.
In a closeup, Alice is putting long stemmed flowers into a vase and they droop. In the long shot, the flowers are standing straight up in the vase.
Alice, after asking Arthur to go find her brother, begins to sit down with her arms hanging down in front of her. On the next cut, she begins to place her left arm flatly on the arm of the couch but then quickly props up her elbow and starts rubbing her face.
When Alice is out in the yard talking to her dad, she kneels down and places her right hand on her lap. On the next cut, she has her hand on her dad's wrist.
When Alice is on the porch talking with Arthur and on the swinging bench, she has her hands underneath her chin. On the next cut, she is holding the chain with her left hand and her other hand is bent across her waist.
