Ellen Corby was born Ellen Hansen on June 3, 1911, in Racine, Wisconsin. She played many uncredited bit parts from the late '20s through the '30s. Ellen would not be seen on the big screen again until 1945 in Cornered (1945). In 1946, she appeared in 14 films, although mostly in small, minor roles. One of them was in the Christmas classic It's a Wonderful Life (1946). One of the highlights of her career came about in 1948 in I Remember Mama (1948) as Aunt Trina. Ellen garnered a nomination for Best Supporting Actress, which was ultimately won by Claire Trevor in Key Largo (1948). The Oscar nomination didn't send her to the heights she had hoped. This wonderful actress continued in roles that were mostly minor compared to some of her contemporaries. However, it was television where she would receive the acclaim that had eluded her on the screen. Time after time she played parts that were absolutely outstanding. One of the funniest was as Myrt "Hubcaps" Lesh in The Andy Griffith Show (1960). She was the ringleader of a gang that stole cars and then sold them, and she sold Barney Fife a stolen car that turned out to be a real lemon. The series that brought her worldwide recognition, though, was the highly acclaimed The Waltons (1972) as Esther "Grandma" Walton. The role got her Emmy awards in 1973, 1974, and 1975. Although a stroke in 1976 slowed her down, Ellen still made appearances on the series. Her last TV appearance was in 1997 in the TV movie A Walton Easter (1997). On April 14, 1999, Ellen died at the Motion Picture & Television Hospital in Woodland Hills, California. She was 87 years old.- Actor

He won plaudits (and an Academy Award nomination) for his send-up of John Barrymore in The Royal Family of Broadway (1930). Four more Academy Award nominations would come his way, and he would win the Oscar for Best Actor twice: for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931) and The Best Years of Our Lives (1946). He could play roles varying from heavy drama to light comedy, and was often best portraying men in anguish, such as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman (1951). Six-time IFBB Ms. Olympia Corinna Everson (née Kneuer) was born on January 4, 1958 in Racine, Wisconsin. A bodybuilder, trainer, writer, host, athlete, and actress, Cory has done all. She lived in Deerfield, Illinois where she went to high school before attending University of Wisconsin-Madison. There, she met future husband and competitive bodybuilder Jeff Everson (whom she wed in 1982). In her schooling years, Cory excelled in gymnastics, track & field, and badminton.
Cory's bodybuilding career embarked in the early 1980s. Standing a statuesque 5'9" and weighing a brawny 155-160 lbs at competitions, Cory took her first contest in 1981 and won the rest of her amateur shows. Her career hit a zenith in the professionals during the mid-1980s. From 1984, Cory captured every Ms. Olympia contest up to 1989 when she retired undefeated. She became a bodybuilding Hall of Fame inductee in 1999 and in 2005 by two separate organizations.
Cory followed her mastery of the physique world with her major film debut in 1991, sharing the screen with martial artist Jean-Claude Van Damme. While she found guest spots in various series during the 1990s, none matched her impression as Amazonian powerhouse Atalanta on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995). As such, this recurring character shared the screen with the titular hero played by Kevin Sorbo. Indeed, in Atalanta's three memorable episodes, she strove to show Hercules he more than met his match. She made her last screen appearance on an episode of Charmed (1998), where she portrayed Paige's "Hulk" version.
Cory's screen presence transcended film and television as she hosted the fitness show BodyShaping and her own ESPN-aired show Cory Everson's Gotta Sweat. She has also penned training books since 1986, producing her last publication in 1998.- Lise Hilboldt was born on 7 January 1954 in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. Werner Paul Raetzmann was one of seven children born to a German-born father and Wisconsin-born mother. He and one brother decided to change their last name to Richmond. Living in rural Wisconsin, he became an expert horseman as a young man, and this skill would later earn him roles in western movies. He had blue/gray eyes and brown hair, handsome, chiseled features and maintained an enviable physique. A Chicago census from 1910 gives his occupation as a traveling salesman of musical merchandise. Moving to New York City, Warner became a true pioneer of the American cinema, making his first films in 1912. By 1917 he was a regular in the New Jersey studios (Solax Studio in Fort Lee) of Maurice Tourneur. When the film industry moved to southern California, Richmond and his wife also moved to rural Toluca Lake with their only son. Included in his many screen credits are short subjects and serials, such as 'Flash Gordon' and many westerns. For 34 years he was steadily employed as a screen actor. His co-stars included Carole Lombard, Pearl White, Mary Astor, Ben Lyon, Theda Bara, Dorothy Gish, Richard Barthelmess, Richard Dix, Hoot Gibson, Tex Ritter, ZaSu Pitts, Spencer Tracy, William Haines, Jason Robards, Sr., Frank Morgan, Gene Autry, John Wayne, William Boyd, Pola Negri and Gabby Hayes. Sports, magic, and acting have brought Paul Jene from Racine, Wisconsin to working in TV and film in Hollywood, California.
Paul packed his belongings up and moved to Los Angeles, California on January 1, 2004 and it paid off when he landed a co-starring role as hockey player Mike Sears on ABC's The Practice after being in Los Angeles for only two months. Since then, Paul has appeared on Pro's vs. Joe's on Spike TV, Storm on the Horizon on the History Channel, Extreme Dodgeball on the Game Show Network, and in various other projects.
A 1994 graduate of Greenfield High School, Paul joined the Wisconsin Air National Guard during his senior year. After taking a few years off from school, he headed off to St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he also became a United States Army Cavalry Scout. Midway through his freshman year, Paul had a short discussion with the theatre director at SCSU. Paul quickly realized that the school did not have the theatre training programs he needed. He finished out his year taking the general required college courses and returned home to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts to pursue his Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre, which he obtained in 2003. While working on his degree, Paul modeled and worked in Milwaukee and Chicago.
Paul's father, Jeffrey Sr., is a Senior Draftsman at Rockwell Automation and an avid train enthusiast. Paul's mother, Mary, is a published poet and an award-winning cake decorator and florist.
Paul has two older siblings. His brother, Jeffrey Jr., is an award-winning magician and master illusionist of over 20 years and has won two different Houdini awards. Paul's sister, Barbara, was a top ten semi-finalist in the 1997 Miss Wisconsin USA pageant.
Paul and his siblings grew up in Greenfield, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee, where his fascination with the world of entertainment began. Paul joined his brother's magic production and became Jeffrey's stage manager and handled security, special effects, music, lighting and even performed on a main stage at Summerfest.
