- From earliest childhood, Walter Williamson wanted to be an actor. During his teen years in Richmond Virginia he acted, wrote, designed and directed for numerous community theaters before beginning formal studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. Mentoring by Robert John Versteeg at Louisburg College in North Carolina followed. Tapped by director Joe Layton to play Gov. White in the long running Paul Green outdoor drama, The Lost Colony, Williamson helped found the annual Elizabethan Festival there before going off to London as an international finalist for The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. On his return he began a series of jobs in dinner theaters, stock companies and repertory companies all over the east coast. The Barter Theater in Abingdon, Virginia was his first Equity assignment, followed by long associations with The Flat Rock Playhouse and The Virginia Museum Theater. New York called and Williamson worked constantly in Off Broadway and touring productions for several years.
A long standing interest in writing surfaced and Williamson produced four books directed at young readers about theater and other subjects along with several plays.
A move to Los Angeles in the early 1990s brought about several assignments for Adam Sandler as well as numerous other roles. Currently he divides his time between acting and writing and has recently sold his first screenplay.
Single now, Williamson has one daughter by a previous marriage who just graduated from college. - Actress

It's estimated that Tommy Boyce's solo compositions and collaborative efforts have produced record sales over and above 85 million. Tommy and his partner Bobby Hart wrote the theme to Days of Our Lives (1965) and hits for guys like Andy Williams, Dean Martin, The Animals and Del Shannon in addition to scores and songs for television and films. They were even instrumental in lowering the voting age to 18. And then there's The Monkees.
The career of Tommy Boyce begins as early as the late 1950s. In those days--before there was color TV--Tommy had established himself as one of the brightest young writers to ever come out of the legendary Brill Building days. His first big break came when he wrote "Be My Guest" for Fats Domino. He wrote the song alone but gave writing credit to the artist, as well as the person who helped him get the song to the artist. According to Caroline Boyce, Tommy said he never regretted sharing the writer's income because it got his proverbial foot in the door.
In 1962 Tommy accepted an opportunity to move to New York and write for Ray Peterson and Curtis Lee. His collaboration with Lee resulted in Boyce's second top ten song, "Pretty Little Angel Eyes". They followed this up with the single "Under The Moon Of Love" (both are available on the CD "The Best Of Curtis Lee"). In the spring of 1965 Bobby joined Tommy in California. One of their first writing assignments together was to compose the theme song for "Days of Our Lives", which has been running on the program for over 30 years now. By 1966 Boyce and Hart had created the musical sound for four actors who played musicians in a weekly television sitcom. Breaking records around the world, "The Monkees" became a cult phenomenon second only in popularity perhaps (arguably) to Star Trek (1966). Boyce and Hart wrote a whopping 30 songs for the foursome, some of which they would later record themselves. When Tommy saw the popularity of The Monkees, he approached Bobby and the duo decided to start an act of their own. Fueled by their own growing teen magazine popularity for having been associated with The Monkees, they signed a deal with A&M Records. The two scored many chart successes of their own, including "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight?", "Alice Long", I'm Gonna Blow You A Kiss In The Wind", and "Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows". They also appeared on shows like Bewitched (1964), I Dream of Jeannie (1965) and The Flying Nun (1967).
In 1968 the duo campaigned to support Robert F. Kennedy in his run for the Presidency, and they spearheaded the "Let Us Vote", or "L.U.V." campaign, which ultimately helped to lower the voting age to 18 in the US (it had been 21).
During the 1970s Tommy wrote the book "How To Write A Hit Song And Sell It" (published by Wilshire Books), which has inspired generations of new songwriters. His songwriting collaboration with Melvin Powers resulted in two songs hitting the country charts: "Who Wants A Slightly Used Woman" and "Mr. Songwriter". It's well known that Tommy would later re-team with Bobby in the newly re-formed Monkees revival, "Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart". What is NOT well known is that the group had its origin while going on a special trip to entertain at Vietnamese internment camps in the early 1970s. According to long-time friend and fellow musician Keith Allison, they went down there with people like Susan Sarandon, Beau Bridges and others. Later DJB&H would meet to discuss taking the act out on the road, and "Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart" was born. They recorded two albums for Capitol Records in 1976 and embarked on a highly successful world tour to commemorate the tenth anniversary of The Monkees.
During the late 1970s Tommy moved to England, where he continued his success as a writer/producer. He made a dynamic impact in the UK music world producing such artists as Iggy Pop, Meat Loaf, The Pleasers, The Darts and Showaddywaddy. Tommy once again witnessed his songs hit the charts. In the 1980s he moved back to the United States and eventually settled in Nashville, Tennessee, where he continued to write songs and delight audiences with surprise guest performances in the local clubs. Bobby and Tommy remained friends until Tommy's untimely death in 1994. Bobby and Tommy recorded three albums together: "Test Patterns" "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight" and "It's All Happening On The Inside". All of these titles are available on CD. Tommy recorded two solo albums: "Christopher Cloud - Blown Away", featuring members of the group AIM, and the Australian four-track EP "Tommy Boyce and His Rockin' Sixties Band" (as of 2019, these titles are NOT available on CD). Bobby is still very much involved in the business, composing for many varied projects.
Forty years later, the impact of Boyce and Hart still resonates. Tune into any oldies station, and at least once during the course of any given day you will very likely hear a Boyce and Hart composition.- Willard Huntington Wright was born to Archibald Davenport Wright and Annie Van Vranken Wright on October 15, 1887, in Charlottesville. He attended St. Vincent College, Pomona College, and Harvard University. He also studied art in Munich and Paris, an apprenticeship that led to a job as literary and art critic for the Los Angeles Times. From 1912 to 1914, he edited "The Smart Set," a New York literary magazine, and continued writing as a critic and journalist until 1923, when he became ill from overwork. His doctor confined him to bed because of a heart ailment for more than two years. In frustration, he began collecting thousands of volumes of crime and detection. In 1926, all this work paid off with the publication of his first "S.S. Van Dine" novel, "The Benson Murder Case." He went on to write 11 more, and his aristocratic amateur sleuth, Philo Vance (who shares a love of aesthetics like Wright), was so popular that Wright became wealthy for the first time in his life. He moved into a penthouse and enjoyed spending his fortune in a style similar to that of elegant Philo.

Show business and Tommy Garrett have a mutual attraction and it's led the Virginia-born, L.A.-based Garrett to become acclaimed as a jack of all trades in Hollywood. As a publicist and agent, he's represented the likes of classic Hollywood stars such as Clint Walker, Tab Hunter and Ruta Lee. As an author, Garrett has penned three best-selling books on the machinations that led to the careers of some of Hollywood's most beloved stars. As a journalist, Garrett has worked as a Hollywood correspondent for Australian radio and as Editor and Chief and entertainment industry columnist for the Canyon News newspaper in Beverly Hills. In addition, Garrett hosted a popular, nationally syndicated movie retrospective show Somewhere in Time and is currently brokering a deal to return to TV with another program, Hollywood Classics.
Garrett attended the University of California Los Angeles in Westwood, where, as a budding P.R. agent, befriended the likes of Aaron Spelling and Telly Savalas. His growing contacts led him to begin representing Lisa Lord and a stable of actors from daytime soaps like ABC's Port Charles and eventually landed a huge, enviable roster that included Walker, Hunter, Lee, Constance Towers, Glenn Ford, Anna Lee, Rex Reason, Jeffrey Byron and numerous daytime soap stars. He decided to try his hand in front of the camera in hosting and producing Somewhere in Time, which featured a format Garrett created that included the airing of a classic Hollywood movie interspersed with anecdotes and remembrances from special guests ranging from Phyllis Diller, Constance Towers, Jeffrey Byron, Beverly Garland and Peter Ford to Hugh O'Brian. The show, based out of a CBS affiliate in Charlottesville, Va. Was broadcast in several markets until Garrett closed up shop to begin a new career as a Hollywood author.
His maiden writing effort was a biography of classic screen actress Joan Fontaine, Letters From A Known Woman, and was quickly followed by a Hollywood retrospective So You Want To Be In Pictures: The Making of Hollywood Idols - the book led TV Guide columnist Michael Logan to write of Garrett: Tommy's the hardest working man in the industry, and in every aspect of the industry. With both books selling well, Garrett quickly returned to writing his third work, The Making Of Hollywood Stars, which tweaked the second book's format to include behind-the-scenes looks at contemporary stars such as George Clooney and Tom Cruise, in addition to Garrett's encyclopedic profiles of classic stars such as Lucille Ball, Elizabeth Taylor, Anthony Hopkins, Sophia Loren, Anita Ekberg and even Paul Newman. Veteran celebrity journalist Roger Hitts said of the book, "Still, one never gets the sense Garrett is engaging in name-dropping to heighten his own ego as you turn the page. Reading Garrett's books make you still get the feeling Garrett maintains that exuberance of a little boy sitting in a movie theatre with mouth agape as he marvels at the wonders taking place on the big screen. Of course, as an adult Garrett has reveled in taking a peek behind the curtain to see who is actually pulling the levers - and him letting you in on what he has learned makes his new effort a sparkler." Recently, Garrett released his fourth book and first novel, a science fiction work called Cosmic's Adventure.
Garrett recently completed a pilot for a new TV show, Hollywood Classics, which featured soap opera luminary Eileen Fulton discussing her life and career from her home in New York City. Garrett's other recent on-camera work included an appearance on Ed Begley Jr.'s HGTV reality show Living With Ed. Michael Logan of TV Guide penned upon seeing the episode on Super bowl Sunday, "Who knew a Hollywood flack could be so charming. Get this man a regular spot on this show. Every desperate Housewife needs a confidante." In addition, he recently co-starred with longtime friend Constance Towers in a radio soap opera Podcast, Same Time, Same Number, produced by Richard Beattie and the Radio Envoy Group. Garrett is also involved in numerous charitable efforts, including the U.S.O. in Hollywood, traveling throughout war zones with celebrities to boost troop morale, speaking to children about the industry and raising chickens.
When Garrett is not in Hollywood, he's on the east coast raising and caring for his beloved exotic chickens that come from places like Japan, Europe and India.- Director
