One of the most chilling cryptozoology-based horror movies out there, the 2002 film The Mothman Prophecies explores the (allegedly) true accounts of a winged beast that may very well be a harbinger of doom, and it was director Mark Pellington who brought him to the screen. Over 20 years after the film’s release, Pellington teases the return of the Mothman.
At the Eerie Horror Fest in Pennsylvania over the weekend, Pellington hinted that a Mothman Prophecies streaming series is being planned. “Streaming Mothman is coming,” he says.
We don’t have any further information at this time, but Pellington promises that more details will be revealed soon. So stay tuned for more on this one as we learn it.
Released in 2002, The Mothman Prophecies stars Richard Gere as reporter drawn to a small West Virginia town to investigate a series of strange events, including psychic visions and the appearance of bizarre entities.

After being saved by the “Ding Dong Keep It On” bell on “New York Night,” Medusa was on a mission to prove she deserved her spot in Wednesday night’s “The Masked Singer” finale. She clawed her way back into the competition, taking out Gargoyle and Mantis in the “Battle of the Saved.” Next, the snake-headed songstress belted her way through the “Quarter Finals (British Invasion Night)” and sent home California Roll in the “Semi-Finals,” the quintet that originally defeated her.
With just Macaw standing between Medusa and the Golden Mask trophy, she wowed panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger with performances of “Elastic Heart” by Sia and “Welcome to the Black Parade” by My Chemical Romance. She said after the latter, “This means so much to me, and, the fact that I got to end my journey with my sister’s favorite song, and,...

It was déjà vu for David Archuleta on Wednesday night’s finale of “The Masked Singer.” The 32-year old performer who had been masquerading as Macaw all season finished in second place to Medusa, the same position he landed on Season 7 of “American Idol” when he lost to David Cook. His emotional journey of self-discovery ended with performances of “Hold Back the River” by James Bay and “All By Myself” by Eric Carmen. Panelists Nicole Scherzinger and Ken Jeong correctly guessed the musician’s identity, but Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg were off the mark.
“We knew we were coming on this, going out of our comfort zone and doing something different,” David told host Nick Cannon during his unmasked interview. “I didn’t know it was going to be so much fun. It’s just been healing being able to be the Macaw.”

The disguised celebrity pulled off her mask to reveal actress, director and author Melissa Joan Hart. The clues were obvious to all of the panelists except for Ken Jeong, who incorrectly guessed Oscar nominee Michelle Williams.
“This was something that I wanted to do for my kids,” Melissa told host Nick Cannon during her unmasked interview. “I wanted to overcome something. I have never sang in front of people before. It is terrifying to me! This is like overcoming a fear and, I did it, guys! I didn’t fall. I didn’t vomit.” She then confessed, “The lamp was sort of a giveaway too. Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched the Season 9, episode 9 of “The Masked Singer,” which aired April 12 on Fox.
It was “Masked Singer in Space Night,” but “The Masked Singer” could have also been celebrating “’90s Night.” That’s because the two celebrities unmasked on Wednesday’s episodes were both TV stars from that era: Melissa Joan Hart (of “Clarissa Explains It All” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” fame) and Alicia Witt. Hart was revealed to be Lamp, while Witt was Dandelion.
Witt had won the previous week as Dandelion, but her journey ended here. For Dandelion, panelist Ken Jeong guessed Witt right. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg thought it was Milla Jovovich. Robin Thicke went with Sara Bareilles and Nicole Scherzinger named Zooey Deschanel.
For Lamp, McCarthy Wahlberg, Thicke and Scherzinger all got it right with Hart. Jeong went rogue with Michelle Williams.

The antlered hare pulled off her mask to reveal social media star Lele Pons. Panelists Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke correctly guessed the popular YouTuber, but Ken Jeong and Jenny McCarthy were off the mark.
“We hosted the Teen Choice Awards together!” screamed host Nick Cannon when Lele pulled her mask off. “I’ve been impersonating Shakira,” she revealed. “I’ve been practicing since I was a little kid.” When asked why she decided to appear on “The Masked Singer” she answered, “I like to do new things. I don’t like to repeat stuff. So I’m here now and I don’t know where I’m gonna be tomorrow.
