Alfonso Ribeiro is a star because of his role in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He played Carlton, the yuppie who made a cringeworthy dance trend famous. However, while he knows he owes everything to Carlton, Ribeiro also said the role ruined his acting career.
here is what Alfonso Ribeiro said about his mixed feelings about playing Carlton on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Alfonso Ribeiro Says Carlton Was The Worst Thing That Happened To Him
Alfonso Ribeiro starred as Carlton Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for its entire run. That was six seasons and 148 episodes. The show made Will Smith a star and helped catapult him into a hugely successful movie career. However, for Alfonso, his career went in the other direction thanks to that popular sitcom role.
In an interview with Closer Weekly, Ribeiro said his role as Carlton was the greatest thing that ever happened to him.

The CW has switched three of its affiliation agreements to Nexstar-owned stations, including in Chicago, the No. 3 U.S. TV market.
Affiliate deals in Chicago, Norfolk, Va (the No. 43 U.S. market) and Lafayette, LA (No. 125) will all shift as of September 1, the company announced.
Nexstar’s ownership of the largest portfolio of CW stations of any local TV player helped motivate the company’s move in 2022 to take a 75% stake in the broadcast network. Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery, whose corporate ancestors were the original founders of The CW, each retain 12.5% interest.
Andrew Alford, president of Nexstar’s broadcasting division, noted that the addition of these Nexstar-owned stations as affiliates will bring the number of Nexstar-owned CW stations to 42, covering more than 36% of U.S. TV households.
Under Nexstar’s ownership, The CW has expanded into weekend programming and added live sports, airing Liv Golf and Acc football and basketball.

Television shows seem well-organized and choreographed. Yet, not everything about them always goes according to plan.
For example, an incidental character sometimes steals a scene and creates memorable television history.
Then, there are the characters who take things a step further by stealing scenes repeatedly until they become the stars themselves.
Particular characters, such as Dr. Gregory House on House, are often created to be standouts. Yet, occasionally, those main protagonists are entirely overshadowed.
In rare instances, characters who were supposed to be incidental became regulars and took over entire shows.
The Fonz on Happy Days (1974-1984)
Happy Days underwent several changes, including the recasting and eventual disappearance of Chuck Cunningham's character, but Arthur (The Fonz) Fonzarelli's addition most dramatically altered the show's trajectory.
Initially, Happy Days focused on the Cunningham family, especially teenager Richie (Ron Howard). The Fonz (Henry Winkler) was a side character. However, the motorcycle-riding, leather jacket-wearing greaser soon took over.

The series follows a group of kids, probably Force-sensitive, who must embark on an adventure to find their way back home after a mysterious discovery leads them astray.
Kerry Condon, who stars in ‘Skeleton Crew,’ shared her surprise about working with children on the show. She mentioned how this production differs greatly from anything we’ve previously seen in Star Wars.
It’s so great. I don’t even have kids, but I’d pay to see this. I loved it. I loved being on it. There was something about it that was so innocent and playful and lovely. People say don’t work with kids or animals, but I don’t know about that.

Jaleel White has been named as host of The Flip Side, a brand-new syndicated game show from CBS that is scheduled to debut this fall. In the show, two teams of players attempt to determine the sentiments of two distinct groups regarding the same issue. Teams make their selections from multiple-choice answers, and the correct choice secures the pot. “I have had fun being a celebrity contestant on numerous game shows, but I’ve always really wanted to be the host, giving people money and making their day,” White said in a statement. “When I first heard this concept, I immediately wanted to be the ringleader of this entertaining, funny game show where the only requirement is being in tune with human nature.” Besides his dual role in Family Matters as Steve Urkel and Stefan Urquelle, White’s recent projects encompass Netflix‘s Hustle, CBS’ Me, Myself and I, and Apple TV+‘s The Afterparty.

The film is slated for an early 2024 opening in U.S. theaters. It’s the first feature to be shot in Colombia’s Sumapaz Páramo, the largest ecosystem of its kind in the world.
“In the middle of the staggering and endangered Sumapaz Paramo ecosystem; F, a solitary explorer, strives to protect the mystical and fragile land he inhabits, while caring for his ailing father,” the synopsis reads.
“Augusto Sandino’s incredible blend of playful surrealism and the overwhelming individuality of the environment in which the film is set has stayed with me since my first viewing. And that flexibility helps fuel their “I’ll try anything once” mindset. To them, what is life if you’re not living it to your fullest? The only thing you have to beware of is their slick mouth. Just like the Winslow family on Family Matters, whenever you think you’re clear of Steven Q. Urkel, he’ll burst right through the door and back into our lives. Warner Bros. Animation has released the trailer for an all-new animated holiday adventure that continues the adventures of one of the biggest sensations of the 90s with Urkel Saves Santa: The Movie! While legacy sequels dominate pop culture in an effort to recapture the magic of certain IP, for someone like Steve Urkel, who is immortalized as a nerdy teenager, to bring him back in an animated project helps cover a lot of logistical hurdles. The trailer has been released, courtesy of ComicBook.com.
The synopsis reads,
“The holiday season is here, and brilliant but accident-prone super genius Steve Urkel has only one mission: to make the holidays the best they can be for everyone! However, things are off to a...

And the Taylor Sheridan Extended Universe keeps expanding as Lawmen: Bass Reeves now has an official trailer.
Created by Chad Feehan and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, Lawman: Bass Reeves will certainly be a hotly anticipated addition to the corral, especially considering it is based on a real-life figure, to be played by the great Davud Oyelowo. Oyelowo is no stranger to playing historical figures, portraying the likes of Muddy Waters (Who Do You Love?), Martin Luther King Jr. (Selma) and Seretse Khama (A United Kingdom).
In the trailer, we see Oyelowo as Bass Reeves, who considers himself a mixture of both lawman and outlaw. From there, we get a pretty good idea of what the man is all about, teasing the ethics and action that will make up Bass Reeves.
As per Paramount: “Revealing the untold story of the most legendary lawman in the Old West, Lawmen: Bass Reeves...

Hosted by partners Darryl M. Bell and Tempestt Bledsoe, the show has three duos competing against each other in blood-churning mazes to get their hands on the medal or “die.” A scream meter measures their screams, along with some rules to help the best duo win. Let’s quickly get into Make Me Scream.

“The Masked Singer” began it’s milestone 10th season on Wednesday, September 27 with the “Season 10 Premiere” episode on Fox. Five mystery celebrities belted out some of pop music’s biggest hits, but it was Rubber Ducky who was sent packing after a subpar performance of “Come On Eileen” by Dexys Midnight Runners. The soapy bath toy was unmasked to reveal Emmy-nominated actor and producer Anthony Anderson.
“I would have to say this is the most bizarre thing I have ever done,” the “Black-ish” star told host Nick Cannon during his unmasked interview. “I’m naked under these bubbles right now. Don’t let the tights below the knees fool you.”

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 10, Episode 2 of “The Masked Singer,” which aired Sept. 27 on Fox.
“Black-ish” star Anthony Anderson was revealed as Rubber Ducky on Wednesday night’s episode of “The Masked Singer.” The Fox competition show’s Season 10 was back to kick off regular season game play — following a special episode on Sept. 17 that featured the unmasking of Demi Lovato.
Ken Jeong got it right, straight off the bat, with Anthony Anderson. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg thought it was Marlon Wayans, Robin Thicke went with David Arquette and Nicole Scherzinger named Jaleel White.
Anderson as Rubber Ducky sang “Come On Eileen,” by Dexy’s Midnight Runners, for his performance. Here was his clue package voiceover: “Hey there. The name’s Rubber Ducky. Ready to splash on the stage. Here’s how my story goes. Movies and TV shows, I’m used to being the rage.

Mark Hamill is reflecting on his time playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars film saga and saying he’s ready to move on.
“I had my time, and that’s good. But that’s enough,” he said during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning.
Hamill has been playing Luke since “A New Hope” was released back in 1977. The actor most recently reprised his role in 2019’s Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker.
Despite Hamill saying he’s had “enough,” he leaves the door open to having a conversation to continue the role but doesn’t think there’s more story for Luke to have.

It must be a daunting task to try to prank pop music’s reigning troll, but Eric Andre sure gave it his best shot. Lil Nas X had quite the visit at The Eric Andre Show, as you can see from a sneak-peek clip of the upcoming Season 6 premiere episode (via Rolling Stone).

September 22, 1989, is the night that Family Matters made its official debut on prime-time television. The show is actually a spin-off of ABC’s Perfect Strangers, where Harriette Winslow (Jo Marie Payton) was an elevator operator at Larry Appleton and Balki Bartokomous’ office building. No doubt, the show’s premiere was a decent success. But the popularity of the series skyrocketed once Steve Urkel (Jaleel White) was introduced midway through the first season. Family Matters would go on to become the second longest-running African-American sitcom behind The Jeffersons, with a total of nine seasons. There was actually a plan to do...
