Jimmy Kimmel has finally scored a meeting with the Vice President.
VP Kamala Harris is now scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, June 4.
She was initially slated to guest on Kimmel’s April 16th episode, but postponed the appearance days after it was announced, cutting her Los Angeles trip short for an undisclosed reason.
At the time, insiders said her interview would be rescheduled for a later date. (Harris’ next talk show appearance wound up being The Kelly Clarkson Show on April 29.)
Her appearance will come less than a week after yesterday’s conviction of former President Donald Trump on 34 felony charges related to hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels. Last night, Kimmel had the distinction of being the only late-night host not on vacation the day the news broke.
Harris last appeared on a late-night show in March 2023 when she guested on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Jimmy Kimmel wasted no time weighing in on the Trump verdict Thursday night, revealing he “had to rewrite his entire monologue” following the announcement.
“It was a big afternoon in New York and for the United States of America. We have a verdict in the case of the People vs. Oj..I mean DJ…Donald John Trump is guilty of 34 felony charges. After seven long weeks the courtoom is empty and Donald Trump’s diaper is full,” Kimmel joked to a cheering audience.
Kimmel noted it played out “in a strange way”, which led to the last-minute monologue shift. “It was a mess,” he said.
He then enlisted Guillermo to play the foreman and Kimmel played the judge as they re-enacted the announcement of the 34 guilty verdicts.
“Poor Donald Trump, seven weeks of sleep-farting all down the drain,” he remarked. “All for nothing.”

Jimmy Kimmel weighed in on the historic Donald Trump verdict on Thursday night (May 30), just hours after a jury found the former president guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records. “We had to rewrite the whole monologue; it was a mess,” the late-night host said at the top of Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! before sharing his thoughts on the landmark verdict. “Poor Donald Trump, seven weeks of sleep-farting all down the drain,” Kimmel quipped. “All for nothing. You’ve got to hand it to him, no president has ever been convicted more than Donald Trump. How long before he starts bragging about this?” “Maybe he isn’t Teflon, maybe he’s one of those sticky traps for rats,” Kimmel continued. “Maybe he’s a wet pocket full of gummy worms.” Trump was arrested in April 2023 and charged with 34 felony counts in relation to a hush money payment made...

It probably counts as fitting that the only late-night host working on the historic night of May 30, 2024, when a former President of the United States—and serious contender to return to power—was convicted of 34 felonies in the first criminal trial of a president in history was the man most likely to get under the new felon’s orange skin.
Not to mention the only late-night host actually mentioned in the trial transcript: Jimmy Kimmel.
Did Jimmy take a victory lap on his show last night? Only like Secretariat after finishing the Triple Crown.
“It is very satisfying to see this guy finally get some comeuppance,” Kimmel said as he basically grinned his way through his monologue and an accompanying comedy bit, which consisted of over 16 minutes of pure Trump schadenfreude.
Kimmel announced the guilty verdicts to an audience almost as stoked as he was by the idea of Trump being convicted.

Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday addressed Donald Trump’s guilty verdict at the New York hush money trial, announced earlier the same day.
“Weeks of sleep farting all down the drain,” Kimmel joked during the monologue of Jimmy Kimmel Live! “You’ve got to hand it to him, no president has ever been convicted more than Donald Trump. How long before he starts bragging about this?”
After five weeks of testimony, a jury found the former president guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records Thursday afternoon. The trial heard testimony from a former tabloid publisher, a Hollywood fixer, Trump’s former lawyer and a porn star.

Talk about bad timing. Of the five nightly late-night shows, all but one are on vacation this week. Which means Jimmy Kimmel has the Trump verdict all to himself tonight.
So what’s a vacationing Late Nighter to do when the story you’ve been tracking in your nightly monologues for years now reaches its climax and your show is in repeats?
You take to social media, apparently.
Shortly after a jury found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in his historic New York hush money trial, The Daily Show posted this message to X/Twitter “Justice Alito has called for upside down American flags to be flown at half mast.”

Tavaris Williams made Wheel of Fortune history with his viral Nsfw answer, and now the game show contestant is ready to cash in on his newly found fame.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Tavaris’s puzzle-solving attempt sent shockwaves across the Wheel of Fortune community when he blurted out a tasteless guess.
Faced with a $1,000 toss-up puzzle in the “Phrase” category, Tavaris buzzed in before his opponents when the puzzle board read, “_ _ _ _ / I _ / T _ E / B _ _ T!”
Tavaris astounded host Pat Sajak, his fellow competitors, the live studio audience, and Wheel of Fortune viewers at home when he answered, “Right in the butt!”
Tavaris’s answer was clearly incorrect, and Pat handled the on-air moment with grace, joking with Tavaris.

Chide and Seek
Former New York Governor, former Donald Trump lawyer, and current guy who owes $150 million to election workers he defamed Rudy Giuliani celebrated his 80th birthday this weekend. It was a typical Maga party, complete with seditious pals like Roger Stone and Steve Bannon, a Sinatra cover band, and presumably all the booze in the world. Oh, and several process servers who, alerted by Giuliani gloating on social media about how successfully he’s been dodging subpoenas for trying to subvert democracy (in Arizona this time), waited until “Happy Birthday” was sung to put the legal documents in Rudy’s baffled hands.
Hubris, thy name, this week anyway, is Rudy. Such a massive self-own was irresistible to late-night, with Jimmy Kimmel opening with a pithily gleeful,...

Get ready for one of the most hyped Marvel releases of the year! Deadpool & Wolverine are on their way to tickle your funny bone (and possibly rip a few off) with their buddy anti-hero action comedy, and we finally have an official synopsis that sounds as nuts as the genre we mentioned above. And it seems like Marvel Studios is fully into this R-rated ride.
Ryan Reynolds and High Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine| Marvel Studios
Though the previous trailers have perfectly encapsulated the wild adventure fans can expect in the upcoming MCU flick, the various cameos and multiple plotlines might sound rather confusing. And it seems like the studio is just as clueless and quite fed up with Wade Wilson’s gore-filled shenanigans.

In the original Top Gun which was released in 1986, Tom Cruise’s Maverick spends a lot of time butting heads with Val Kilmer’s Iceman. However, the film’s ending saw the two turn their rivalry into an unexpected friendship and thus gave fans one of the best bonds in the film. Val Kilmer then returned to the role in Top Gun: Maverick, although for a short period of time.

Just in case you weren’t sure where Jimmy Kimmel stood in the upcoming presidential election, he’s making it explicit, taking part in an upcoming fundraiser that will see him in conversation with President Biden and Former President Obama.
The event, which is scheduled to take place June 15th in Los Angeles, comes on the heels of a New York event hosted by Kimmel’s late-night competitor Stephen Colbert. That event, which saw Colbert interview Biden, Obama and Bill Clinton at Radio City Music Hall, raised a record-setting $26 million for Biden’s reelection campaign.
A venue hasn’t yet been announced for Kimmel’s event, but it’s set to include at least two other Hollywood heavy hitters in George Clooney and Julia Roberts, who are being billed as “special guests.”

Jimmy Kimmel will moderate a conversation with President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama at a Hollywood-centric L.A. fundraiser for the 2024 re-election campaign next month.
The event, to be held on June 15 in downtown Los Angeles, also will feature George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
Kimmel is the latest late-night host to take part in a Biden event. In March, Stephen Colbert moderated a fundraiser for the Biden campaign that featured a conversation with the president, Obama and former President Bill Clinton. That event took place in New York and raised $26 million, according to the campaign.
Tickets to this event start at $250 per person and rise to $500,000 for an “event chair” listing. The latter includes four tickets in the center front orchestra, photo line access and a reception and after party. Proceeds go to the Biden Victory Fund, a joint committee of the Biden campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state parties.

Last summer’s strikes, as writers and actors took on the studios, led to historic change – but how is the industry faring now?
Fans of Pete Davidson who tuned in to watch him host Saturday Night Live were disappointed to find a rerun instead. Viewers of Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel found they too had gone dark. While late-night TV had found ingenious ways to stay on air during a global pandemic, this was different.
It was a year ago this month that screenwriters hit the picket lines. Actors followed suit with a walkout in mid-July, the first time that the two unions had been on strike together since 1960. As Hollywood came to a standstill, studios were forced to the negotiating table on issues including minimum pay, streaming residuals and guardrails against the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Less than a year after The Prank Panel debuted on ABC, star Johnny Knoxville is getting a shock that some jokes are just not so funny.
Not funny, and potentially quite expensive, to be clear.

Seeking a jury trial, Dumb Ideas co-author Curry’s May 16 filing from Martorell Law in LA Superior Court lays out the taser attack the ex-segment producer says he was subjected to back in September 2022 on the Prank Panel set at Saticoy Studios in Van Nuys, CA. Best Dressed Code Breakers: Men like Bob Iger, Casey Bloys, Mike Hopkins and Rob Wade for appearing without ties. Nothing says we are hemorrhaging money more than a nude neck.
Earworm Award: Beyoncé’s Texas Hold ‘Em and Miley Cyrus’ Flowers that were played on a loop.
Best Joke of the Week: “NBC is launching the new adventure Destination X,” said Seth Meyers at the NBCU upfront. “It was originally titled the Linda Yaccarino story.

Just when the Jimmys thought they were finally free of having to compete against John Oliver at the Emmys, another John has popped up in his place—John Mulaney.

The Golden Bachelor episodes lasted one hour, but for Joan Vassos, the episodes will air for 90 minutes. Of course, one big difference is the age of the contestants. Joan Vassos is 61 years old and will be looking to date men more her age.
Joan Vassos self-eliminated – Golden Bachelor – ABC
It’s not unusual for Bachelor Nation to cast a previous contestant from another show. For example, Bachelor leads often come from The Bachelorette. Once again, that is true with Joan Vassos.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were one of the most discussed celebrity couples. The duo got married in 2014 and share four children; North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West. The couple later hit a rough patch and eventually divorced in 2022. But Kardashian’s romantic gesture for West once got her a lucrative surprise.

Ye’s surprise came after Kardashian rejected an ad that impressed her then-husband. Fairly enough, Kiki could have said yes to the brand but she was far from going against the wind where Yeezy would be hurt as it was her then-husband’s rival brand.

Upfront week’s reliance on films isn’t actually new but it is increasingly bizarre, as evidenced by the top of Wednesday morning’s Warner Bros. Discovery presentation kicking off with sizzle that prioritized features Furiosa, Dune: Part Two and Wonka — when new episodes of the HBO and Max’s flagship Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon, are just weeks away.
