“You know, as it stands for right now, I don’t see it happening, but I do see Cree. After it was revealed that the live-action series was getting the boot after one season, Goldberg gave an update on X about his future with the Muppets.
“Huge thanks to the critic & fan love that got us 6 Emmy noms and a #1 Billboard album,” he wrote. “Mayhem was truly the most joyful and collaborative experience of my career. The Electric Mayhem Band is breaking up after Disney+ canceled its latest Muppets show.
The streamer has axed live-action series The Muppets Mayhem, which comes from The Goldbergs creator Adam F. Goldberg, after one season.
The ten-part series was released in May but Disney+ never disclosed any ratings for the show.
The cancellation marks a blow for plans for a wider Muppetverse; Goldberg previously expressed interest in branching out using the classic IP, which includes some of Disney’s most recognizable characters.
It is the latest cancelation at Disney+ this year; other shows to have been axed include The Spiderwick Chronicles, which has since been shopped to Roku, National Treasure, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., Willow, Big Shot and Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.

Tahj Mowry is your basic, average Kim Possible fan, and he’s here to use the Kimmunicator beep as his text tone. Asian Heritage Month vibe is rubbing off Saara Chaudry, who was all praises for her “The Muppets Mayhem” co-star Lilly Singh.

“The Muppets Mayhem,” the first streaming series devoted to Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, the most iconic band in the Muppet universe, is finally here. And Dr. Teeth noted that, “I’d posolutely love to accompany The Weeknd.” Can you imagine?

After decades of hard rocking (and even harder rolling), Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem are finally putting out their first studio album. Can you picture that?
The premise of Disney+’s The Muppets Mayhem — as laid out in the first of 10 episodes, all of which are now available to stream — is simple. A plucky young record executive named Nora (Lilly Singh) needs to save her dying label, so she reaches out to the one contracted group who has yet to actually record the album they promised. That band, naturally, turns out to be Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

It’s always difficult for parents to find entertainment that bridges the gap between kid-friendly and not making you want to bore a hole in your skull with a giant-nailed Drilldo (look it up). In the past few decades, kiddie cartoon purveyors like DreamWorks and Illumination have attempted to bridge the gap by serving up cuddly characters spewing pop culture reference-laden dialogue, penned by Wesleyan grads with a minor coke problem. But the result invariably comes off as slick and cynical: the kids feel bored, the adults pandered to, the...

Some 44 years after Belafonte did The Muppet Show, the powers that be at Disney and the Muppet Studio continue to go out of their way to find avenues for Muppet programming that inexplicably avoid just doing The Muppet Show for a new generation. Today in news that will totally make you smile (I hope!), I'm thrilled to be the one to remind you there's a new Muppets series coming to Disney+ -- one that takes a deep dive into the rockin' world of The Electric Mayhem Band, aka that band of Muppets that is a regular fixture in most Jim Henson properties. Cute, right? Needless to say, I'm ready for "The Muppets Mayhem"— and the trailer is a major reason why.
In the show's sneak peek, we get reacquainted with the band and find out they've made a mark on some of the world's most famous musicians, including Tommy Lee, Chris Stapleton, and Lil Nas X. But the trailer drops a bomb on us: the legendary group has never actually made a record together. This show chronicles what exactly happens on Mayhem's quest to finally produce an album, many years after the height of their music career.

When I think of the sitcoms that raised me, I don’t usually think of “Smart Guy,” and for that I am sorry.
“Smart Guy” often gets lost in the pantheon of sitcom lore, eclipsed by decades of long-running predecessors like “Full House,” “Fresh Prince,” and more. Created by Danny Kallis, the series stars Tahj Mowry as T.J. Henderson, a 10-year-old genius who skips from fourth to tenth grade and has to navigate high school with older kids — including his two siblings. It ran from 1997 to 1999 on the WB and aired reruns on the Disney Channel until 2003.
That’s when I and many other young millennials found the exceptional series. “Smart Guy” became the foundation of my sitcom education in tandem with “Boy Meets World,” a post-school package deal viewing (usually with my dad sharing the couch). In the years that followed, “Boy” moved to ABC Family, but “Smart Guy...

Tamera Mowry-Housley would love to give “Sister, Sister” fans the revival they’ve been calling for, but it has to be the right idea.
During an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show”, the actress shared that she and her twin sister, Tia Mowry, have been approached with pitches to reprise their roles, but nothing has been right for them.
“Here’s the thing, Tia and I are both just booked, which is a great problem to have,” the actress began when asked whether something was in the works. “The other thing is, we have to make sure the idea is amazing because ‘Sister, Sister’ is iconic! I don’t want it to be lame.”
When Hudson stated that any revival with the sisters involved wouldn’t be lame, Tamera revealed that the duo has already heard some ideas and “it was not it — it wasn’t right.”
But there’s still hope!

Following their triumphant performance at the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco back in 2016, Dr. Teeth & the Electric Mayhem have been carefully planning their next moves in the music industry. After years of waiting, we finally have an idea of what they're up to: A Disney+ series. It was announced in early 2022 that the band would be the stars of a brand new show called "The Muppet Mayhem" from Adam F. Goldberg of the hit ABC sitcom "The Goldbergs."

With his family away, a devoted stay-at-home dad enjoys his first me time in years by joining his hard-partying old friend on a wild birthday adventure.
Do we really need yet another Kevin Hart comedy this year? To be completely honest with you, it’s arguable that “Kevin Hart comedy” is actually its own genre of film. The difference between that and a normal comedy? A normal comedy is actually funny and has a strong script and entertaining characters that make you smile and put you in a good mood.
Hart’s films are almost always devoid of any of these qualities, making it virtually impossible to fall head over heels for one of his comedies. We were already tortured to one of his films this year in the form of The Man From Toronto...
