Jimmy O'Neill finally decides to take the plung and move to Fort Worth, Texas to take over his uncle Charlie's failing Bail Bonds business. He doesn't realize how much it is failing till he gets there. Upon arriving he's finding out what it is like to be among the native Texans and how unusual (in his mind) thinks they really are, not realizing that he is the fish out of water. It seems that Carmine Cappelletti, the head of the five crime familie's on New York hire two Brits from England to help set Jimmy up for a "hit." The twist and turns begin when Jimmy's childhood friend and once, crime partner, Vito Cappelletti is given the contract on Jimmy. Vito is conflicted and knows he can't go through with it. In the meantime, Jimmy meets two rival Bail Bondsmen, an African American guy by the name of Leo Gorcey and a Mexican guy by the name of Robert Smith, who threaten for Jimmy to allow his uncles Bail Bonds business to just die instead of having a slow death. This gives Jimmy more juice to help make his uncles business, now his, a success. Jimmy is highly encouraged when Mayor Betsy Price of Fort Worth, shows up to an event he is working at.
