Rimmer moves into his new quarters with the duplicated hologram of himself.
This is a pretty strong episode for the insight it gives into Rimmer's character, some relatively funny banter and the homage to Citizen Kane.
Up till this point in the show, Rimmer's behaviour has been bordering on certifiable and although it has generates at lot of humour, not much background information is provided. This episode delves a bit more into the causes of some of his neurosis and allows him to take a long hard look at himself.
We also have some of the usual Rimmer v Lister banter and also the added gimmick of some Rimmer v Rimmer banter which is quite funny. Most of it revolves around the characters continuously insulting each other for large parts of the episode in the inimitable Red Dwarf style.
Being a fan of classic movies I loved the homage to Citizen Kane, particularly how its worked into the Gazpacho soup plot line. The final scene where Rimmer bares his soul to Lister and Cat is very entertaining, particularly their reactions.
