Mork the golden boy
kevinolzak8 October 2016
"Midas Mork" finds Mearth trying to create gold from scratch, experimenting in the kitchen with Fred's silk tie. Mork notes that the formula calls for polyester, the resulting riches enough to purchase a mansion for Mindy. She's clearly off put by the eccentric staff, particularly 6'8 Miss Beasley (Kathleen McIntyre), while Mearth's tennis lessons are conducted by real life teenage pro Tracy Austin (her sister-in-law is fitness guru Denise Austin). Fred is delighted with the new surroundings but Mindy fears that she's losing her family to their sudden affluence. Even worse, Mork has Mindy fired from the TV station then promises to buy her NBC. Mindy decides to go back to the tiny apartment with Mearth, leaving her husband to fend for himself. Mork's report to Orson sums up the images conjured up by dreams, and the hopes they promise for tomorrow.
