Brass's Daughter
Hitchcoc7 January 2021
Warrick is left in charge when Grissom goes cockroach racing. Catherine and Nick have seniority, so we have a problem. We meet Brass's daughter who has a checkered pass and incredible anger toward her father (she spits on him when they first see each other after a long time). But she is implicated in a murder and the gang must carefully work around Brass. The second case involves counterfeiting. Not up to the previous episode but OK.

The Mule and the Daughter
claudio_carvalho10 October 2022
When Grissom needs to go to a conference and Catherine to an opening of a casino in Reno dating Sam Braun, he puts Warrick in charge of the graveyard shift. Soon there is a case to be investigated relative to the death of a con-man in a parking lot. The couple Matt and Cindy Orton have just been cheated by the victim, Vincent Thomas Avery, and lost two thousand dollars that now are evidence. Warrick has difficulties to impose himself to his colleagues, but handles the work with a great support of Nick. When the coroner Dr. Albert 'Al' Robbins finds bagged drugs in Vincent's stomach, they learn that he is also a mule. Their further investigation shows that Brass' estranged daughter Ellie is involved in the case. Detective Sam Vega assumes Brass' position to void interference in the case, but Ellie is his daughter.

"Ellie" is a good episode of "CSI", with the involvement of Captain Jim Brass' daughter Ellie. She is estranged from her father and a complicated woman. The change of behavior of Brass, threatening the low-life that lives with his daughter, is completely different of the Brass we see in the episodes. The conclusion is not corny and is a plus in this show. My vote is seven.

CSI:Crime Scene Investigation-Ellie
Scarecrow-8810 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Grissom is racing cockroaches and Catherine is off to attend a casino opening with Sam so Warrick, despite his lack of seniority, is put in charge. It's quite a shift, too, as he must deal with a murder investigation involving Detective Brass' daughter, Ellie, and Sara's unusual case involving counterfeit money. Brass gets a bit too close to the investigation of his daughter who is working as a drug mule along with her boyfriend, and could be the one who shot a member of their coke smuggling team(shot in the ear lobe after snookering a couple with fake poker chips, making of with several thousand dollars worth of counterfeit bills). This was a rare chance of seeing Warrick contending with multiple problems in substitution for Grissom, while Cat is away as well. We see the tension(feel it for lack of a better term)visible between Nick and Sara who hold seniority over Warrick, yet must answer to him. We also get a peek into Brass' personal life, a past which recognizes his not-so-healthy relationship with his estranged daughter. Nicki Aycox(who is a smoldering presence)is Brass' daughter, her scenes with him just break your heart.
