This is a pretty good episode. Again there is a moral message, as I believe was in every episode of every teenage show of that time, but this time they managed to do it without ridiculousness and being too cheesy.
The whole story about shop lifting is pretty good as one can see how upset Brenda is mainly because of how mother thinks of her and at the same time, what else should she think.
It also touches the topic of the crazy wish to have a perfect image. which is probably obvious for such a neighborhood and people who just recently moved.
Brandon's story is about job exploitation. Doesn't go too deep into it, as it isn't such a serious show, but it is nice how they brought up such a topic for young people.
No Steve and David unfortunately, but there were some laughs with the cleaning lady who doesn't speak English.
