I enjoyed very much watching Tanner '88 so it was a thrill that three presidents (two from the same family - father and son!) later we have Tanner on Tanner which focusses on Tanner in the 2004 primary and how values shift. Garry Trudeau of Doonesbury fame (the Sunday Doonesbury still runs thankfully) is back to give Tanner life, with the direction of Robert Altman. Anyway, Cynthia Nixon, who was a huge star with her HBO series, is a primary focus, as she sees her father's values melt before her eyes. It was quite heartbreaking to see this. Robert Redford make a cameo appearance so that's like an endorsement of sorts.
