Monsieur pivert has been mistaken for a revolutionary. He's taken to a bubblegum factory, where they try to get the truth out of them. Antics follow. Pivert's wife (the dentist) is sure that hubby is messing around. Somewhere. So now, she's on the way also. Meanwhile, pivert has found a way to escape the evil guys. Poor rabbi jacob is still on his way from new york. But so are the killers. And les gendarmes. Will this wedding ever take place? It's all very silly and slapstick. Peter sellers must have been busy that week! Marcel dalio was also frenchy, in to have and have not, as well as sabrina (1954). Both with humphrey bogart! Directed by gérard oury.
