This is simply a remake of the 2018 film "A Gingerbread Romance", the female leads in both films are architects and meet a single dad that happens to be a baker and entering a baking competition by making a gingerbread house and fall in love yada yada yada!
I love the original (again an all-black cast), so settled down to watch this "remake" and thought I would enjoy it, but I knew exactly what each scene was going to be, so the plot is still the same. That totally spoilt it for me - why do a remake of a four-year-old film? If you have already seen A Gingerbread Romance, dont bother watching this watered-down version! Sorry.
