I actually felt that this final entry was fine. Not great but certainly not the worst thing in the franchise either. What I've seen a lot of people say, which I completely agree with, is that it's a pretty good standalone Halloween movie but not a good ending to a trilogy, let alone the entire franchise. I was really interested in Corey's story and it kept me engaged and entertained all the way through. There was definitely some weak moments still but nothing that really ruined it. Plus I'll always appreciate it when a long running series tries to do something new. All in all, I would say it's worth a watch, but maybe look at it more in a standalone way.
