The actors and the second part, redeemed the movie.

Warning: Spoilers
I honestly planned on burning this DVD after watching it. But it's a movie that needs time to take off, and as flawed as it can be. The actors look too old to be teenagers, the first half is dismal, and makes you think it's a sad Jawbreaker rip off. Also, when was it shot exactly? Clearly not 2005. And the cheap sets... The supernatural twist, and literal end twist, makes it all worth it. I'm not ashamed to admit it, but I loved the cast. Actors I knew, like Julie Benz, Nichole Bilderback (underrated actress), Monica Keena (same), Janet Leigh and Christopher Lloyd (obviously), were a big part of the movie's appeal. I even thought Aaron Paul was ok. The rest, except the girl playing the exchange student, were terrible actors, with awful characters. It was childish, but the pee scene at the supermarket cracked me up. The rest not so much. But I liked the ending very much. And the way the end credits were made.
