Make It or Break It (2009–2012)

It's not something I would have expected
9 February 2022
For the picky movie watchers, this series has flaws; some small (the entire Romanian team - and coaches - have Russian names...) some not that small (there is some bad acting at times). However, there are some awesome things also, and I want to mention, as the best, the way the editing was done to show the combination of actors/gymnasts exercises flow with almost no rough patch. This was my main concern at the beginning of this series: that I will watch some nonsense gymnastics that does not resembles at all what happens at main championships; and it wasn't like that. Another great thing is that being a gymnast is not presented as a dreaming come true second by second state, but what really is: a frustrating, giving up the most beautiful part of life, the youth, for a far, far, far, far away dream; of having 6 minutes (in total, for 4 apparatuses) time at the Olympics to make up for, basically, an entire life. Respect the girls and boys who trade their youth for that dream! Probably you've never heard about lots of them, who maybe worked more, with the same lack of youth life, but didn't make it; and these are the ones for whom we should cry.
