One of my favorites

Stargate SG-1 is an MGM series that was initially set on SyFy and now I got to enjoy it again on Netflix. This is one of my favorite series with lovable characters that were adopted from the original movie that starred Kurt Russell and James Spader. Jack O'Neill the wise crack leader of the team was played by Richard Dean Anderson. Dr. Daniel Jackson the team historian was played by Michael Shanks while Christopher Judge played Teal'c who brings the muscle and intimidation. Amanda Tapping played the beautiful smart scientist Dr. Samantha Carter. The team travel over 200 times thru the gate to hundreds of planets across many galaxy in a manner of seconds. The series covered all types of issues that exist today from racism to pollution to planetary disasters while encountering various types of humans and aliens. Other notable actors that appeared in the series include Don Davis, Teryl Rothery, Ben Browder, Colin Cunningham, Beau Bridges and Claudia Black as regulars. Tony Amendola and Carmen Argenziano played aliens and Peter DeLouise directed and appeared in several episodes. I never realized the amount of other famous actors that were in the show such as Ronny Cox, Lexa Doig, Garry Chalk, Robert Picardo which I met while I worked at the culinary school in Pasadena. JR Bourne, Matthew Glave, Mike Dopud, Louis Gossett Jr, Isaac Hayes, Willie Garson, Tony Todd, Kevin Durand, Jolene Blalock, Christopher Cousins, Saul Rubinek, Jason and Jarvis George, Tamlyn Tamika, Adam Baldwin, Wayne Brady, Marina Sirtis, the great comedian Dom Deluise, Sean Patrick Flanery, Dean Stockwell, Danielle Nicolet, Ian Buchanan, Michael Rooker, Francois Chau, the beautiful Erica Durance, Bruce Gray, Ernie Hudson, Grace Park, Wallace Shawn, Julian Sands, Fred Willard, James Earl Jones and last but not least John Noble all had cameos. There is news that Amazon will be revitalizing the show after the MGM library conversion is complete. Looking forward to many more adventures that are similar to this series.
