The final episode (two episodes, to be precise) of this Russian series featuring Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson pretty much follows the pattern of the others: splendid production values (almost as good as David Suchet's Poirot), ideal casting for Holmes & Watson, paralyzing pacing. If the 2nd part, in particular, moved any slower, it would be running backwards. Elena Safonova peps up the 1st episode with her long confession scene, Watson is amusing when he steps up and takes credit for solving the first case himself, and there is a strong message at the epilogue. **1/2 out of 4.
