Great piece of art must say!

Being a highly enjoyable adaptation of the book, called "With fire and sword", film shows us great transfer of this epic story, shorted, of course, but with brilliantly captured main plot and character design.

"With fire and sword" represents a XVII ventury war between ukrainian insurgents, who fight for their oppressed rights and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth soldiers. But, surprisingly, it's not being truly documentary novel, but with some fictional characters and love part story.

Swiftly paced movie keeps all this major aspects, offers to the viewer the shorted one, but still highly entertaining historical side. Of course, it has some other problems instead of source's. As a person, who at first read the book, I can say, that the feelings of furrios battle, or character lost, or love on a distance weren't so graet matched in film, as in roman. Even so, it's hugely successful adaption on a side with another this kind of movie.

Well-cast, well-paced and well-scripted "With fire and sword" I could recommend for anyone. Give it a try.
