A prison bus has to stop, a body part hitting the windshield of a tailgating car. It is soon discovered that a body has been cinched to the undercarriage and a woman's body torn to bits on the highway. This leads to all kinds of implications for the prison and the other figures in the place. The second, less interesting, is about a man who has a mentally handicapped brother, found dead with knife wounds. The victim has had nothing in his life and feels he can win enough money to help his brother and himself. How the murder was committed is the central focus.
