Review of The Exes

The Exes (2011–2015)
1/10
Not one funny line in the first two episodes.

I rarely give up on a sitcom so quickly but this one was terrible and doesnt need much to review it.

The jokes are your standard setup, payoff, wait around for canned laughter, repeat. Except the setups are are lame, the payoffs are terrible, and I am sick of canned laughter. That should have died in the late 90's but the networks just cant seem to kill it. None of the characters are funny. They all feel like they were generated by a computer algorithm that was lazily programmed. The plots are non-existent and wouldnt lend themselves to humor even if they did exist. Most of the actors here have been in much better comedies and should have known this would stink. I guess they needed paychecks more than exposure. The only element that has any potential is the friendship between the giant blonde and the tiny blonde, and they completely waste it. You'd be better off rewatching a show you love than anything The Exes has to offer.
