Brian De Palma, who previously directed 'Casualties of War', picks up on another true story, concerning two American soldiers who rape and kill a 15 year old Iraqui girl. At times a bit heavy handed but sheds some illuminating light, on how we have helped these people become a nice and tidy, rubble. Maybe the point of making 'Redacted' is to realize the Iraqui people, have had to live and suffer with total humiliation. Ironically Iraq was the first point for civilization and the last shot in the movie, is truly a shocking imprint of the bloddy end! Both Brian De Palma and Oliver Stone, have triumphed (over the years) with such pictures, whilst some in America were calling for treason. Oh well, "The very first casualty of war is truth."
