"The X-Files: Re-Opened" is a 20-minute documentary short film from the end of last year (2015). Do not be fooled by the misleading title or the one other review already existing on this site. It is not the new X-Files show. This one has a separate page. In this one here, Anderson, Duchovny and Carter elaborate a bit on the new episodes and put them into perspective in terms of the grand picture with references back to the old show and the films. I myself never watched the old show or the films and sadly I must say this documentary did not sparkle my interest to do so at some point. I probably will, but it's nowhere near the top of my watchlist, maybe also because of the genre. Anyway, for huge X-Files fans, this underwhelming behind-the-scenes documentary may be worth checking out, but everybody else can really skip it. Not recommended.
