I recently got turned on the Josh Whedons epic TV show "firefly" and was extremely depressed when i realised that it was cancelled after only one season. Even with the awesome follow-up movie "serenity", i could not help feel cheated, and so i started searching the net for a viable alternative to quench my sci-fi thirst...
I was directed to the show Farscape and the premise seemed cool. That was unfortunately the only cool experience i had with Farscape. Basically everything sucks.
The main Character "John Chricton" sucks, and he CANNOT act. The supporting cast is an annoyingly zen blue woman, a Klingon look-alike, a muppet and an angry commando woman. The evil guys "the Peacekeepers" are so derivative that it is almost embarrassing (they're basically a slightly nazi-looking version of the empire). The ship they fly about in is alive and has a mind of its own, which is extremely stupid since it is always about to die from some laughable threat. Also the science is just dumb, this is actually much more fantasy than scifi.
The sound and music is terrible and the writing and plot mind-numbingly dumb. I was amazed that basically every review on the net praises this piece of crap. And as a last note for you Farscape fans; I got nothing against muppets, i like them. This just isn't a good show in any way at all. PERIOD.
