Sure, Friends dominated the 90s, but Boston Common should have lasted more than two seasons. I guess I can forgive USA Network for axing such a fine show considering later on they broadcast one of the best TV series ever, Monk. Coincidentally, Traylor Howard, a cast member of Boston Common, later starred in Monk.
The pilot episode set the tone with hilarious one-liners. Hedy Burress's aggressive line, "I'm gonna have a lot of sex in this place" was a poke in the eye to political correctness. Talking of which, African-American Tasha King (played by Tasha Smith) displayed much indignation at two white students who spoke politically incorrect lines about African folk (and I don't mean white South Africans if you know what I mean).
Boston Common should have lasted more than two seasons, and who knows, maybe there will be a reboot.
