The writing of this show gets more and more blatantly silly, simple and boring. It feels like as if some teenage Twilight fanfiction writers took over. The characters do not act rationally, hell they don't act like themselves either, they don't think, Sabrina acts like a spoiled brat and no one seems to question her.
And I'm all for gender equality, but could you just write the show so the evils guys plans are not so simple and obnoxiously stupid? Some finesse please? Morally grey situations maybe? But no, the evil guy has to hate all women for no reason, the other wants to take sexual advangate of a woman in a dire situation. We all get the paralel! It's just so annoying when it's shoved in your face instead of being presented as an integral, subtle part of the story. It just feels that everything is rendered to serve the goal of showcasing gender equality in a very onesided way and I feel the story suffers for it. This could be done.in a clever, tearful, gut wrenching way, but the it is done now is just idiotic. The viewer needs to relate in someway to the antagonists too, but here they are just one dimensional assholes with no ulterior motives or anything that makes them feel real.
And we're back to my main problem: the weak amd one dimensional characters.
Sabrina got so upset when Nick lied to her before. She does the same now without blinking an eye. And afterwards Nick is like 'yeah, okay whatever'. Wait, actually not even that. He doesn't even bat an eye.
Oh and Sabrina. She has always been wilful and wayward but no she doesn't even stop to listem to other opinions. Just one episode ago she was convinced that her new powers was to spread her fathers gospel (which again no one questioned), but it turns out she's the emissary of Satan. Oh again, if just ONE person for all who saw her ressurection in the church would have told her what she said there... But no, that would have been to logical... So after that blunder she's back to square one saying 'I know what's happening everyone else is wrong'. And look what happens in the end... Yeah sure we didn't see that coming...........
Prudence has been switching between antagonist and hero throughout the whole series but now she is just acting blind and soooo stupid that it's just unbelievable. She's supposed to cunning, powerful and a leader, instead she just sucks up to daddy against Sabrina after Sabrina saved her life TWICE.
And no one thinks even for a second that if Sabrina looses her powers then how in Heaven/Hell will she be able to oppose the Dark Lord???
Lilith creates a f##king scarecrow to kill the most powerful witch ever. Had she gone completely mental?? A scarecrow golem with no powers? Who can be defeated without any magic? And after its defeat whoever defeats it just takes her rib which can be used against her? I've seen it coming the moment she created it!
By the way if the mandrake spell siphons the persons power shouldn't Theo and Roz have lost theirs too?!??
I was crying out loud through the whole episode...
