I think that the show is closer to another show called, "The Agency" about the C.I.A. It was from 2001. If I recall, it had the same format; a SF team in the field directed by a team back at HQ. Although The Agency was as much about the politics that went on behind the scenes at the C.I.A. as it was about the field mission. The Agency lasted two seasons. Lets see how long this one lasts.

Slowly The Brave is turning into a Remake of Mission Impossible's Impossible Mission Force (I.M.F.).
Working with Any Mexicans, not going to happen, most Mexican Law Enforcement are on the Payroll of the Mexican Drug Cartels anybody working with the Mexican Law Enforcement are compromised the Mexican Drug Cartels let the Entire World know who the Agents are, those compromised Agents can never work again assigned Desk Duty, and still run the risk of being Executed and or their Families, Relatives, Friends also being Executed.
The Mexican Law Enforcement Corruption is similar to when the Democrats allowed the Italian Organized Crime's U.S. Labor Unions into Government, State Government, City Government, Local Governments, Law Enforcement, Construction, Transportation, U.S. Schools, Manufacturing and basically Everything else, Italian Organized Crime basically was the U.S.. From the 1950s until the early 1980s only one U.S. Law Enforcement Agency fought Italian Organized Crime, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, while the Italian Organized Crime Families' owned U.S. Politicians, Judges, Law Enforcement kept Italian Organized Crime "Above the Law", the only way that the Federal Bureau of Investigation got Italian Organized Crime, was also using Blackmail, Extortion, Manipulation, and an Army of Accountants from the IRS, as the Corrupt Democrat Judges dismissed Multiple Murder, Armed Assault, Extortion, Blackmail, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and most other Cases, the FBI then got Italian Organized Crime Families prosecuted for Tax Evasion.
At the Hotel, Booth and Martin Urzua would have had Cartel Soldiers everywhere hours before they arrived. Anybody arriving after the Cartel Soldiers were at the Hotel would be viewed suspiciously.
Everybody their before the arrival of the Cartel Soldiers would have been Investigated and Vetted. The Entire Area would have been full of Local Mexican Police, and Federal Mexican Law Enforcement all on the Payroll of the Mexican Drug Cartels, they would have seen the U.S. Agents sitting in the Van, surrounded the Van heavily armed and detained the two U.S. in the Van for interrogation by Mexican Drug Cartel's Enforcers.
In the Streets around the Hotel there would have been many vehicles full of Cartel Soldiers. Both for Security and as a Status Symbol. Mexican Law Enforcement on the Payroll of the Mexican Drug Cartels would be doing continuous Sweeps rounding up anybody that is not Mexican, Verified by the Mexican National Identification Card Database. Caucasians, Africans, and anybody not Mexican would be Detained (not Arrested, therefore no Records), Guatemalan MS-13 and MS-14 Drug Gang Rivals would be Executed in front of the other Detainees.
Four Point Security would have been around Booth, anybody getting within 10 Feet of Booth would have been put to the ground by other Security, while the Four Point Security is maintained.
Mexican Drug Cartel Families Technicians would have detected the from Mexico to U.S. Radio Transmissions, pinpointed the exact locations, and the Areas would be Full of Mexican Drug Cartel Soldiers with Radio Frequency Direction Finders. Mexican Drug Cartel Technician's Paycheck compared to a National Security Agency Technician's Paycheck. Where ever they are there would be Mexican Drug Cartel Counter Surveillance that would have spotted those two with the telescope and listening microphone, Teams of Mexican Drug Cartel Snipers would have been sent, Two Snipers would have aimed at each of them.
As soon as the bug starts transmitting the Mexican Drug Cartel Family's Technicians would detect the Radio Frequency.
A U.S. Army Special Forces Officer Captain is not "Top" (A First Sergeant).
Extracting Sofia, and leaving traces that Booth's Security Chief planned the robbery, would leave the bug uncompromised.
Attempting to enter a Drug Cartel Family's Hacienda of Martin Urzua, Perimeter Sensors, Guards with Sentry Dogs.
