Ramona (and Eddie) returns!!!
safenoe15 November 2016
Warning: Spoilers
What a wonderful surprise to see Ramona Ramirez (Jacey Sallés), the erstwhile nanny of the Marsdens in the previous seasons. Ramona turns up to Adam's 49th birthday (actually accidentally promoted as his 50th, much to Adam's chagrin). The main setting in this episode (also the series 6 finale) is at Adam's apartment, which and his son will vacate soon. Anyway, Ramona turns up with her boyfriend Juan, and also Joshy, the Marsden son.

Adam has eyes for Tina, who is with Jamie (who left his wife to be with Tina). It didn't take long for Adam to somehow forget Angela I guess. Tina referred to Angela as an example of Adam's unreliability, but Jenny says it's his passion. The thing is, if Adam and Tina become a couple, how many episodes will they last? Longer than the four episodes of Angela?

Karen lands a big client, and has celebratory sex for the second time with her business partner Justin. Another surprise! Eddie turns up to Adam's party to surprise Karen!!!

Tina's friend Deanne Sutcliffe (Connie Hyde) makes a great impression, and maybe she can return in season 7. Also Sanjeev Kholi makes an appearance as off licence shopkeeper.

Joshy and Karen talk about his homosexuality after she caught him in the arms of Juan in Adam's bathroom. The only thing Ramona doesn't know. Karen knew for much of Joshy's life, and she tells David.

David wants to remarry Karen, and Eddie wants to marry Karen and proposes to her. This leads to fisticuffs between Eddie and David big time on the Twister board, and causes the music and dancing to temporarily cease.

Also David's relieved that the corporate crime charges have been dropped, relief.

Ramona is now Karen's PA! Tina gives Jamie the high joomp, and wants Adam to still live across the hall. The final scene was on the apartment rooftop with all the lights.

I can't wait for season 7.

So happy it's back

Just as great and wonderful as I remember. I miss Rachel but it's actually just as good without her. Couldn't be happier to see a classic back on ITV. Makes a change from love island etc hope they make many more seasons.

Wasted 1 hour of my life I will never get back
MordonDancer30 October 2016
I sat down to watch this with my wife, I will admit a little reluctantly.

I honestly thought it was dreadful. Predictable, awful writing, direction and acting. I wish I'd sat in a bath of cold water and contemplated the universe instead. I can't believe the high rating this has on IMDb.

It's not even lala TV. Its dumbed down rubbish.

John Thomson should be ashamed of himself for getting involved. Helen Baxendale was probably delighted that Rachel was dead. As for the rest, they must need the cash. I made a promise to myself never to watch this garbage again.

Do yourself a favour and read a book instead.
