A bit gauche

I saw this short film as part of the "Mexican Men" compilation of five films that is not listed on IMDB. I'd rate it as the middle film of the five.

We're at a swimmng pool with three people present, two swimming and a spectator. The spectator glowers as the two swimmers swim ever more sinuously. Ignacio and Octavio clearly know each other and we see at the end that they know the spectator too as one of the boys refers to him by his name.

The ending is equivocal. Will Manuel change his views after realising what the two other guys did for him? Or will that make his feelings of hatred worse? We can use our imagination.

Warning: Spoilers
***SPOILERS *** Written and directed by Julian Hernandez. Begins with two divers, wearing matching suits, diving from the high board, and laughing together. There's a spectator in the stands, and there's a suspicion or animosity between the two guys and the spectator. It's all over pretty quickly. The homophobic spectator bullies one of the divers, and the other comes to his defense. Then the divers have to save the bully's life by breathing air into his lungs, showing us the irony of a kiss. Part of the TLA DVD "Mexican Men" short film collection. Cute. One of Hernandez' more recent works. It's a good one.
