Sex & Nudity

  • Carol's parents don't wear clothes in the show. They are seen naked showing her mother's bretas and showing the genitals of her father.
  • Pilot has frontal nudity, male and female. As well as buttocks.
  • Carol has sex with a guy she met in a park. She takes off her clothes showing her breasts and then kisses.
  • A scene where a bunch of naked people appear on a beach is shown.
  • In the second episode, a BDSM orgy is shown quite graphically, although the scene is extremely brief.
  • In the eighth episode, a person is depicted rubbing sunscreen onto a naked person's buttocks.
  • In the ninth episode, teenagers are shown making out on a beach in close-up.

  • In the eighth episode, a ship is hijacked by Somali pirates with machine guns. In flashbacks, the pirates are shown attacking other ships and leaving one as it burns. At one point, when a Somali pirate's gun flies away, there is a physical struggle between several people over it, with an elderly woman punching and smacking a Somali pirate in the face.

Profanity

  • Profanity (including "fuck" and "shit") occurs in every episode, although it is relatively infrequent.

  • In the ninth episode, a bong is seen on a man's back.
  • In the ninth episode, Carole drinks an ayahuasca-like brew that causes her to undergo an intense psychedelic drug trip, which is depicted onscreen.

  • There is a car accident where blood is shown coming out of a man's nose and then drops of blood go into a coffee he's making.
  • In the fifth episode, Carol finds a man dead in his office cubicle. Her and two other characters then place his body in a car trunk and drive around trying to find relatives of the dead man to take his body, but they are unable to and eventually turn the body over to the police. At the end of the episode, the man's ashes are scattered on the office's rooftop, with Carol holding a wake for him.
