Tooth 4 a tooth.

Warning: Spoilers
After the head-turning twist in the thrilling Laynie Needs a Light (2019-also reviewed) I decided to pull a tooth and watch another short in the Soho Film Festival line-up.

View on the film:

Sinking their teeth into vampires, the screenplay by co-writer/(with Benjamin Pahl Robinson) director Alice Maio Mackay intelligently use the thrust of vampires,to explore horrific violence inflicted on the LGBT community, with a drag artist and activist searching to solve the murder of their friend, being attacked by blood-splattering homophobic locals, who in coarsely cut dialogue, take great delight in performing ritualistic hate crimes on those they deem to be different.

Stamping into the "Age of hate" director Mackay & cinematographer Justin Eckert excellently unveil to the audience the homophobic horror just under the vampire fangs, with long, creepy panning shots down high streets pass locals spewing venom as they desire to take a tooth for a tooth.
