After Seeing 'Bicycles & Radio'

Knowing how difficult it is to find a good Thai movie, it was a very pleasant surprise to stumbled, literally, upon this short film. I found it browsing through IMDb for Thai films. The film, very unfortunately, is not on sale anywhere. I contacted the director via Email and he gave me a copy of this film and, I can assure you Khun O' Nathapon (if you happen to be reading this), this movie will be one that I will treasure.

The story is very simple and deals with everyday subject. The dialog is used sparingly and is very appropriate for the story. The acting is surprising very natural and realistic, considering that most Thai actors tend to overact.

The film reminds me of other Asian masterpieces such as 'In The Mood For Love' and 'Last Life In The Universe.' Both the aforementioned titles are my favorites. They are films with minimal actions that tackles real-life dilemmas. If you also love these films, I highly recommend 'Bicycled & Radios.' To the director, I will be waiting for your next project. I hope I will get to see it soon.
