Sex & Nudity

  • Barry is a sex addict and spends most of the film womanizing. In a woman's master bedroom we see photographs of naked men and women. Their genitals are shown. A woman's breasts are shown. Plenty of innuendo coming from Barry and his Aussie mates.

Violence & Gore

  • The villain of this movie is a vampire and many references to drinking blood are made.

Profanity

  • Plenty of racist slurs; Brits are called "Pommies" and Asians are referred to as "Yellow" and "Slant Eyed". Many other words like shit and bastard are used.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Barry and the Aussies drink Fosters beer throughout most of the film. In one scene, the villains put poison in Barry's steak hoping to kill him, but it just causes him to vomit.
  • Drugs, recreational: None

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This is a movie that is full of racist slurs. Barry McKenzie is a very racist, sexist and homophobic character who hates the English. Although it's not meant to be taken seriously, as the movie is actually clearly poking fun at Australians and their stereotypes.

Spoilers

Violence & Gore

  • In the climax, the vampire puts Edna into a machine that sucks her blood out of her neck. Barry and his friends have to rescue Edna in time, before all 8 pints of blood are sucked out of her. We see the blood filling up in a jar. It's all done in a unrealistic, cartoony way, though.
