Follows Kat, a young girl, during a cultural dance competition, who increasingly finds herself stifled by the trappings and demands made by her mother and by her world. The girl tries again and again in reality and fantasy to free herself from these constraints until she ultimately triumphs in her shocking final act of protest and liberation.
